Subject: has anyone bought the Men In Uniform! pak from poserpros?

I have the DAZ M3 Everyday Wear clothing, and I realize this pak from poserpros is just textures for the daz outfit, but on the pictures at poserpros there are hats. Where is the hat from, and does the men in uniform have textures for it? If not, then how do you make the hat match the rest of the uniform. Also it says it is for M3, but the accessories shown (belt, gun etc) look like they are the daz ones for michael not M3. will they fit M3? So anyway I would love the uniform pak as it would go nicely with my M3. especially as I own the IW43d police car and ambulance etc. However I'm not sure I'll be able to get it to look like in the poserpros pics, and I'm not sure what extra things I would need to buyto make it look like the uniforms in those pics. Love esther

Have you tried e-mailing or IMing the merchants directly? That would seem to be the quickest way to find out. I haven't picked up any of the packs yet, but I plan to.

No it was the slowest way of finding out. I did IM the merchant several days ago and I've had no reply. So please hurry and get them hehe, and let me know all the answers to my questions. I only IMed one of the merchants so I suppose I could IM the other one. Love esther ps I was hoping someone here had already bought it.

Hi Esther, I think it is the accessories in the police pack at DAZ3D. Check it out. I think it also was free with platinum club renewal. See the link. Tim

Esther, Okay, and I just researched for you. This DAZ3D Police kit has PROPS and not conforming figures, which is good news for slight modifying to go on M3. They already will be parented upon loading the prop to Michael3. The hat needs the Z trans adjusted to .004 for a better fit. Of course you may need to adjust for whatever hair you add. The belt should be Z scaled to 102% and Y transed to -0.007 and Z transed to .010. If the belt is adjusted first, the nightstick will go into the correct holder loop in the belt. The badge is a perfect fit on the shirt with z trans set at .002. If you load the shirt texture first, you can match the colors of the hat. with the dropper tool. The items have multiple material zones. Hope this helps. Tim

Thanks Tim, that helps a lot. I have a feeling the hat will come with the outfit as on the readme there was something to go into the props folder too. Hmmm I may already have that pak then or maybe not, I'll check. I have a monthly platinum club membership. Love esther

Guess what! I just found this email accidentally labelled as junk by my email filter. this looks great:- Hi Esther :-) We are just finishing Pack #4 for the Men In Uniform series which will feature accessories as shown in our promos and many more to go with the uniforms. Some of the props will be original and some are based on the DAZ Police Pack for Michael which we have extensively expanded. The hat shown in our promosis theDAZ Police Hat with some of our textures, but in addition to textures, and morphs to fitMichael 3 we have addedother morphs to totally change the shape of the hat from pointed to round to a biker hat to a Dutch boy hat etc etc. so you can create hundreds of different styles. This will all be contained in a newsmart-prop file, with all the morphs pre-loaded so it is ready to go as soon as you install it as long as you have the Police Pack already installed. The gun belt is also from the DAZ Police Pack. We have added morphsto fitM3, and will have several textures ranging from new leather to a worn and scratched leather in both brown and black tones. The gun used in our promos is the DAZ 45 Autoloader, but almost any type of handgun will fit in the holster because of the new morphs which allow the holster to be re-sized in different directions without affecting the rest of the belt. The accessories kit will alsoinclude many prop badges and patches which can be used with any clothing. Of course, all of these accessories will work equally well with Michael 1, 2 or 3 - or any other figure for that matter with a little adjustment. The pack will be finished in the next few days and uploaded to Poser Pros, so it might be available within 7 to 10 days depending on the time it takes to pass the Poser Pros testing. If you have any other questions, please feel free to contact us. Thanks, Ronstuff
