Subject: HELP! Missing Poser files

silverwolf8895 ( ) posted Tue, 24 February 2004 at 1:25 PM ยท edited Wed, 05 February 2025 at 2:31 PM

I recently installed Poser 5 but I cant seem to install it correctly or something, I dont know exactly what the problem is except for the fact that during the setup process it tells me that there are CRC checking errors. There are supposedly 3 files missing..i located 1 of them but maybe there are mulitple files by the same name? the files im missing are as follows:

morphs.ph5
grab.png
Judy Nude HiRes.crz

Is there any way I can get those files? if so PLEASE contact me as soon as possible.

Thanks

Where did you download it? Maybe they can send you the files, or set up a new download that has all the files. Did you use the par2 files to fix any errors?

I installed it from the Poser disk. During the running of Setup.exe those errors popped up, heres the exact message: CRC checking failed. 'morphs.ph5' was not copied correctly CRC checking failed. 'Judy Nude HiRes.crz' was not copied correctly CRC checking failed. 'Grab.png' was not copied correctly. I have no idea where I am supposed to get these files. any help would be great. I am assuming that anyone with just Poser 5 would have these files since that is all I have. I havent gotten any extra stuff like extra clothes or models for P5. But those are the only files that seem to be missing. Any help would be great.

Contact CL with your serial number. They may give you a downloadable link or supply you with a replacement CD. Nobody other than CL can legally supply the missing files.

It's possible your CD is dirty. Just get a good CD cleaner and clean it. You can probably get them in any department store for $10 or less. You can use the same cleaners that work on music cd's. You can also get a good cleaner for your CD ROM drive. (If you have a CD burner, read your manual before attempting to clean it.)

you can also return the software to the store you bought it from and exchange it for an identical copy
