Can anyone tell me lf the Poser Lightwave plugin works with Lightwave 7?

yes it does :) I use it with 7.5.

7.5 perhaps, but I can't get it to work right with 7.0

7.5 is (i believe) a free upgrade, no reason not to upgrade.
