Maybe you should post a pic of what is happening to your figures.....I never noticed it being flat.....but then I also never paid much attention to default settings, my noses dont stay that way for long LOL

Dr. Michael R. Cunningham, Ph.D., who did much of this research, even had people rate pictures from which he had completely removed the nose with computer software. I hate to admit it, but the no-nose women were more attractive that the big-nosed women to me. His research bore that out, too.

ok here is a picture with four different face morphs on V3 in between each morph I zeroed out the figure so there was no left overs from the other morph.{charecter morphs one being the beloved charecter leansidhe I adore that charecter as well and was shocked to find on turning her she had no nose} the most extreme of the noses was one I thought was to be the most ethnic looking and was shocked to find it still so small the odd thing is ...when I viewed the faces from the front...they nose looked as if it would be fairly prominant. the camera setting is at a 50 focus and a hither of 0.66. One thing is a small petite nose another is one that would not allow a person to breath. these almost make her look deformed.

I think that's why - because whoever created the morph didn't look at the profile, only in front or 3/4 view. I've often found this myself, giving a character a nice-looking nose, then turn her sideways, and she's a pug!

I've noticed that before too! I agree with Karen: I too have turned a face I've morphed around, only to be stunned...LOL

I was shocked I turned her to get a nice profile and NO NOSE! But I have to ask if you are geting a nice shadow and all when she is three quarters or straight on...why is the nose flat then on the profile..the shadow would have to come from some sort of depth. man just looking at her you can almost hear her weezing to breath >.<

I think another problem with many characters is that they all have similar "Angelina Jolie" collagen-injected lips. Repeating these types of features over and over again give all of the characters a "sameness." It is rare when something stands out as unique any more.

I am partcial to angelina jolie so the lips are a-okay with me~giggles~ But I am geting frustrated with a certain amount of ethnicity missing. but I guess since I took a small break to fractals and hadnt touched poser for abit I went and it was like "omg what is wrong with her????" I think I am traumatized by the nose thing....perhaps starting PPANN..."poser people against no noses" is a good idea...we need noses people! real noses with size..and charecter! and bridges!!

I've noticed the same problem with noses when trying to make characters with a SW Asian appearence.

DarkElegance, Take a look at this face. I think that it's similar to what you're trying to do. You can see what I did to ovecome the nose problem. I do a lot of faces, so if there way I can help, please let me know.

I know what you mean about noses (even on some of my own figures), so on my most recent characters, I make sure they have suitable honkers ;).
