Hello! I've used my UV mapper, opened it up in PSP, made my texture, and I open up Poser and open up the object the texture is for and apply is in the material room (p5) I can add it once the texture is applied to the figuares character file, but I can not add it to the Pose file. How do you go about adding your textures to the pose library? This is probably the most important step I have yet to learn. thanks---Essie

You need to create a MAT pose. There are several MAT pose creators around. I use JHoagland's MAT Pose Creator, available from the Marketplace.

Essie, I just started with the textures and mat poses also. There is a great program out there called mat pose edit you can get it here at this link and it's offered free. Also in the tutorial section here at renderosity there is a great tutorial on making the little picture for the pose library; so you don't get the little grey man shruging. It's a really great one to, and easy to follow. http://www.renderosity.com/tut.ez?Form.SortOrder=UserName&Start=11&Sectionid=12356

If you're in Poser 5 already, can't you go to the Materials Library and click the + button? Isn't a P5 Materials file basically the same as a P5 MAT Pose file?
