Subject: V3 into Poser5

I'm sure this has been asked before but...I'm trying to install DAZ's V3..bodies,heads,textures, etc. into Poser5. I have an install of PoserProPack on another drive by the way. The DAZ installer finds both versions of Poser and I choose Poser5. The install seems to go fine but it looks like some files are being installed into PoserProPack..Where there is an install of DAZ's V3 already. Now maybe I don't need to install into Poser5 but I thought it would be better to have V3 in Poser5 as well. Anyway in Poser5 most of the files are there but I can't find a DAZ file in the "Figures" directory of P5. Looks like some files are being installed in PPPack or not gettin' installed at all. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

In the library manager, click on the folder with the arrow pointing upwards untill you see two folders called "Poser5"(with a red indicator) and "downloads". If you now click on the small triangle pointing downwards, you see at the bottom of the dropdown with Camera, Figures etc an option to add a new runtime folder. Simply point this to your P4 folder. Should work flawlessly.

I have tried prudent planning long enough. From now I'll be mad. (Rumi)

Thanks for the info. So I don't really need to do another install of DAZ's V3?

You will need to copy the main !DAZ folder in the libraries, into your P5 libraries file (in the top level of libraries, not into Characters or anything.) Otherwise P5 will sit there aimlessly for about 10 mins when you click an injection pose ;-)
