Bryce+Photoshop. Plucked a leaf off an unsuspecting vine. Scanned it and was trying it out on a Bryce tree. The leaf came out a little shiny looking due to my scanner light. Ah, well, just for fun. AS

Nice pothos leaf, strange on a tree, but effective, nice...

I think it's a beautiful effect! Totally different from anything I've seen so far... Good stuff, thanks for sharing!

Just out of curiousity, how long, in minutes/hours does a typical 'messing aorund' session take? You produce some effects that take some of us days to accomplish, others minutes, what's your avarage?

Delightful image, for just messing around. Your work always leaves one with their mouth open and jaw on the floor. LOL Ralph

Just when I thought I had a nice leaf...Grrr... back to the drawing board now. Not only the leaf but your bark texture is cool too.

Spent a couple hours doing this pic, mostly in preparing the scanned leaf to be a texture. I was just killing some time while doing test renders on a 2nd PC for the MP. This scene rendered fairy quickly (10 minutes, or so) The bark is also a picture texture. I use picture textures when I just want to produce something fast. Use my render for anything you want, no big deal. This did teach me that shiny leaves don't turn out well on a scanner, too much glare. AS
