It's that time again! Want to make the announcement before I forget (like I usually do!).... So get your ideas in gear and start working on a new banner for the photo forum and gallery... which will be displayed from April through the end of June! Banner Contest Entry Guidelines Post your entry directly to the forum by starting a new thread with BCE in the subject heading. Voting will be done by forum members, by e-mail to one of the moderators. Banner Contest Rules All entries must be comprised of original photographic images created by the entrant. No nudity. Post work in any photo editing and/or paint program is acceptable and encouraged... However, the use of royalty free images, or the addition of characters and/or objects created in a modeling program is not. This is a photography contest :) Entries should be 500 pixels wide and 170 pixels tall, JPEG format at a resolution of 72 Pixels Per Inch. A limit of one entry per contestant. Entries should conform to the Renderosity TOS. Note: Two smaller versions (500 pixels wide and 100 pixels tall and another of 600 X 50 of the winning entry must be made available upon request for the Photography Gallery. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If you have any ideas on how to improve the contest, please let us know. I got a ques............. Are the participants required to make 2 banners??? 1 for the gallary and 1 for the Forum or........ please explain. First time wanting to participate. :O)) THANK YOU SNAKEY

The banner needs to be able to fit different sizes for the 3 different areas that we have..... one for the gallery, one for the forum, and one for the Community Area .... They can all look exactly the same... enax choose to make different colors out of the same design, which was really cool, but you don't have to get fancy like that. Same design, 3 sizes - 500 X 170, 500 X 100 and 600 X 50... If you make the largest size and just try to resize... they get distorted and look horrible... The most important areas are for the gallery and the forum, the 600 X 50 isn't essential, and I have a banner that can be used there if necessary, but it is nice to have all of them match...

Ques 2......... Are we required to make all the size banners to make the submission complete, as one entry?? I know, I sound dumb;) SNAKEY

I would have the two main ones ready to go as a complete entry, this way if your banner won it would be all ready to go. :~)

And no you don't sound dumb... how else do you know unless you ask? :~)
