My wife has been back to the hospital 3 times this month so I have been driving 200 miles each way instead of working on the stargate. The goodnews is the coach stays up and I am releasing my Dewey mesh for this month.

"Dewey"

Dewey is a character based on the 1972 movie "Silent Running". This zip comes with an OBJ file and three texture maps. He can be imported into just about any 3d application. For Bryce you might just want to apply the grille mesh and use bryce materials for the other parts. This render is in Poser. Sorry I haven't made a boned version yet.

Have Fun!

Hey I like silent running also. The geodesic space greenhouse domes are way cool, I'd like one in my yard. Would need Dewey to help.

BEFORE I COMMENT ON THIS GREAT WORK ... It is because of SILENT RUNNING I became a screenwriter and director ... I was 12 -- and actually walked into the film 1/2 through where Bruce Dern ('FREEMAN LOWELL') finds 'LOUIE'S' little leg after riding the rapids with the rings of Saturn. Since then, I have seen the film easily 100 times -- (thank the stars for DVD!) At 14 -- I saw one of the actual domes and 'HUEY' at a STAR TREK CONVENTION in San Diego. Years later in my 20's, I was fortunate to be an editor on a documentry about Douglas Trumbull as a SHOWSCAN promo (the 65mm process he and Richard Yuricich invented that is a staple of event rides in Vegas, studios, Disneyland, etc.) Much of my professional life has been because of SILENT RUNNING -- and anyone who goes to the trouble of creating a DRONE this detailed, like John Henry has certainly has my appreciation and fandom for life. What he has done matters. I cannot wait til he'll be convinced into making a DOME! Regards, DB DirectedBy@aol.com ps: My thoughts and prayers for your wife's wellness. Love and life is ever so short. pps: The fictional AMERICAN AIRLINE SPACE FREIGHTERS were only out there because of global warming gone rampant, folks -- that was 1971. It is now 2004 and we are losing the flora and fauna faster than the money monsters can spend their war profits. Dig?
