This is the Unfound references tool where you can fix references to unfound files after the scan...Attached Link: The Un-referenced files window
Here's a view of something I forgot to mention above... The Un-referenced files tool. Here you can identify files in your textures and geometries folders which aren't used by any of the library files you've scanned...Attached Link: The Content and dependancies window
The Content and dependancies tool: where you can do really cool stuff with library files and the files they are dependant upon...Attached Link: The repair options
Here's a look at the manual repair options: in this case I'm creating a new profile... Blimey! Look at all those little boxes! (Trying to keep up the pace! LOL!)Attached Link: Duplicated texture files window
Last one! Here's where you can deal with duplicated filenames in your texture folders:Attached Link: hogsoft.com
Oh... if you look on my site you can download a (nearly up-to-date) help file for CRPro.rgds

Guarie... Yep! LOL! CRPro is the culmination of nearly 12 months development! I've completely re-written the program... with the benefit of hindsight! (Which can't be beat!) Also you can imagine that now I'm a self-employed software developer my skills are increasing exponentially with every new project! MWoohahaha!I've tried to make the program as simple as possible to use folks... don't be put off if the screenshots look complex 'cos it's easy as pie. Thanks to the great beta-testing I've altered anything which 'only a programmer would understand' to make it truly understandable... LOL!
Oh... another feature I forgot to mention!
CRPro installs a 'windows shell extension' which means you can right-click on a folder in Windows Explorer and choose 'Scan folder with CRPro'. Very useful when you're installing new stuff!
If I remember any more features I've forgotten to mention I'll post them here! LOL!
Else... have a look through the helpfile (if you're intrigued!) at the link above.

I just discovered CorrectReference and boy is it a wonder! I use to dump textures where ever I wanted them, without any regard to the information in the .cr2, .pz2 and .pp2 files. It took Poser 5 forever to find some of them! Not any more! Speeds up P5's response time considerably. Some great features here. Now....if there was a quick and easy way to convert .bum files to .jpg bump files! Maybe someone knows of a quick way to do this save conversion in PsP? Anyway, I'll be looking for this!
I thought about having CRPro convert bum to jpeg to bum when required but decided against it in the end. Sure... it's easy (if a little time consuming!) to load a bum in Psp and save as jpeg but I'm not convinced that the results are the same when rendered. There's a very useful thread somewhere in the Poser Technical Forum... somewhere! But when you have converted some files, if you remove or re-name the old bum files, then a scan with CRPro with 'Prefer jpeg bump references' checked will change the references to point to the jpegs if they are there. Hmmm... I'm still doing my sums re the price...The weak dollar is biting us European merchants at the moment! Ouch! But I think it will be reasonable: under or around $20. H:))
Actually the free version of CorrectReference will automatically find assign the .jpg bump files if it can't find the .bum's in most cases....but not all :) I use P5 and frankly P5 does not use the .bum files properly anyway. The .jpg versions can be connected to the .bump node and tweaked to give good enough results for on-screen work. I had 425 mb of .bum files in my texture folder!! Converting to "best quality" .jpg put that at about 65 mb. Comparing the two visually in Psp, I could see no difference. $20 seems reasonable to me :)
Does it work for mac computers? Love esther
I aim to update it about once a month. Oh, and it's free!
LOL... it's been keeping me busy Dave! Re: rsr/png tidy up - I didn't have this on my list of stuff-to-do for CRPro... The RSR image routines I wrote for PBooost could be altered and transferred... but they're not perfect. Some RSR's (mainly created with RSRConverter) give an empty thumb so the code would need complete re-writing. But maybe I could add an extra feature to remove RSRs if the png exists. It's a bit late to add it now, so this could be for mk2. I'm afraid it's Windows only. Believe me... if I had a Mac here I would write cross-platform but they're so darn expensive! H:))
Hehe... a_super_hero: I've done it for you.... well sort of. You now have the option to 'Remove unrequired RSR thumbs' or 'Remove unrequired PNG thumbs' during the scan. This should help you to rid yourself of pounds of excess RSR thumbs. Basically, if you choose the new option, the thumbs will be removed if a thumb of the other type also exists for content.
I just removed about 100 such RSR's from my gash Poser 5 install!
H:))
Yes!!!! That is worth the purchase right there! I just spent an entire evening getting rid of those little buggers! They take up a lot of space, that's for sure.....and with P5, they're just "excess baggage" once the .png is created. Between them and the .bum files, I think I freed up close to a gig of space. Tells you something about the size of my runtimes, I guess :)
oh, sad about the macs. You know a second hand one isn't as expensive and good fun too hint hint. Well my husband has got a pc so maybe I should think about the software anyway. Love esther
I aim to update it about once a month. Oh, and it's free!
My poser 4 disk works on both.
I aim to update it about once a month. Oh, and it's free!
but I think CL only allows you to have it on one computer at a time - hot damn!

Hi, oh, I just downloaded my copy of poser 5 from CL, so i didn't know how the disc comes. And it really is in poser 5 that I'm getting all the problems where poser asks me where the textures are. Poser 4 just used to be able to search and find them. Love esther

I wouldn't worry about CL checking to see if you have it on more than one of your computers: They don't answer the phone or return calls so I doubt if anyone's even available to do any checking. In regards to this piece of software, it looks like something that's been badly needed for a very long time, and the price iws more than reasonable. Speaking as one who just migrated from Mac to PC, I've found that a lot of my references do indeed need serious cleaning up. I'm looking forward to the release of this remarkable piece of work!

Hi all... CRPro is nearly ready for release! This is one serious piece of kit. Here's a brief rundown on the main features:
Corrects texture, bump, reflection, geometry and injection references in Poser 4, Propack and Poser 5 files.
Compressed and uncompressed library files scanned seamlessly.
Fixes common problems like incorrect quotation marks and missing '0 0' lines.
Standard Repair profiles for Poser 4 and 5 add simplicity to the repair option settings... or manually override the 23 settings if you wish.
Powerful 'pre-scan' tools to locate and deal with duplicated filenames in your texture folders using CRPro's 're-pointing' technique.
Also the ability to set up 'bulk re-pointing' operations to change all references to particular files.
More powerful 'post-scan' tools enable you to fix references to files CRPro can't find in a flash.
Also the ability to create 'Zip-ready' folder trees of content and dependancy files.
Safely remove content from your poser libraries together with dependant files.
All removed content goes to the CRPro quarantine folder: like the Windows Recycle bin, but retaining the original folder structure of the files relative to the Poser runtime.
I'll be releasing a free trial version so you can check out the program before purchasing... watch for it on the hogsoft site! (new url above!)
In the mean-time, here are a few tasters...
