In your PS CS preferences you can designate where it looks for plug ins.Look for the appropriat section then delve in. Link to where(files) your plugins are kept. Once PS CS "sees" them there will be a link made to your filters and this will be activated the next time you open PS CS. I keep all my plugins in one file so all my programms can be linked to them. So much easier.
Linking to the PS7 plugin folder is likely to cause conflicts, according to Adobe, as PS sees two versions of its native plugins. Better to install all your third-party plugins to an external folder and then link PS7, PS8 and any other application (like Painter) to that. Things that absolutely have to go into a PS folder will need reinstaling for CS.
Very good advice RH, i was gonna mention the "two version" issue if no one else did. i remember getting a "tech" call from another graphics user saying he was getting a double list of his plugin (the only diff was the UI). turns out he linked his "old" plugin folder to his "new" upgrade vers of PS thinking it would save him time...

Recently purchased PS8 (CS), is there an easy way to transfer all plug-ins from ps7 to ps8, or add to ps8 without deleting/removing from ps7??? Thanx Harry
