I have designed an Eagle in ps7, it is an experiment for a custom windscreen for motorcycle. At this stage it's b&w, I would like to change black to chrome and paste onto front of motorcycle pic, I have tried color picker, but not quite the results I was hoping for. Any suggestions, try and keep simple please, i've had a stroke and my retention is not what it was! Thanks Folks Shaboog

The most simple suggestion would be to follow the tutorial on thewebmachine.com. The tutorial is in the Photoshop section, the second from the top. It probably requires some transparency to start with, which is not to hard to get from a black and white picture (control-click on the grey channel or on the combined channel if you already changed the color mode to RGB). There are a lot of methods to get to chrome, but first you have to see what kind of chrome picture you have in your head. Maybe just making the picture transparent and trying some layer effects would fullfill your needs with this. Good luck with it! P.S. If the web machine is a bit too much, google for " PS chrome tutorial " if you are prepared to wade through some 3000 results... http://www.google.com/search?q=PS+chrome+tutorial&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8

One of my favourites is Kai Krauses "Snowy mask" - should be easy to find on a search engine. Quick way is take any pic, desaturate, heavily gaussian blur, and then use curves. Use this as a reflection map.
