I've tried for hours to texture a simple book, modeled in anim8or, and exported as a wavefront .obj . I apply an image map (I tried with jpg and bmp), play with horizontal and vertical scale and offset to make it match, BUT when I rotate the book, the image doesn't follow the book. I tried the same thing in Vue D'esprit 4, everything's OK. What's wrong ? BTW, I have another question : does anybody know if there is a difference between wavefront .obj and .OBJ ? Vue D'Esprit 4 doesn't want to import some of them. Thanks.

It looks as if it is using the coordinates of Poser-space, which stay fixed, rather than of the object, which would move with it. I assume it has been uv-mapped? I don't have Poser 5, but I would assume that was the function of the Global Coordinates box at the bottom of the settings panel in your first screen shot: it appears to be clear, but try checking it and see what happens (probably nothing good) and then uncheck it in case something has become stuck behind the scenes.

Anim8or doesn't produce UV coordinates by default. However, Poser will produce a textured preview of an un-mapped mesh to confuse you; then when you render, the texture disappears. :( Run your book through UVMapper, apply a map and try again. There's no difference between .obj and .OBJ, but there might be something in these files which Vue doesn't like. If you load it into UVMapper and save again without modifying anything, it may well fix it - UVMapper reads just about anything, but only outputs proper obj format.
