Attached Link: Old Steam locomotive similar to the one in Harry Harrison's Planet Story

file_101609.jpg

I build this based on the illustration in Harry Harrison's **"Planet Story"** illustrated by Jim Burns.

Modeled in Amorphium Pro and exported as a 3DS model.

Basicaly the same model as version 1 only with some added details like:

  • Running board hand holds on the sides of the main cab.
  • Nail addition to the patch boards on the main cab.
  • Front Fine Pipe detailing to the boiler front.

Plus, the bords in the Cab have been individually named so application like Bryce won"t think they are all the same part. I based this model very closely on the illustration by Jim Burns in Harry Harrison"s "Planet Story." This is similar to the Locomotive presented to Admiral Soddy by the "Rodent Ruler" during the Strabisman Debacle. The surface geometry you are looking at in the un-textured samples is real, that is no bump map trick. This model has a very high polygon count. 401,600 Polygons!

I created the model in Amorphium Pro and exporeted out as a .3DS

Model consists of 209 separate parts.

$120 is roughly four to five times the max most PoserFolk would pay for the model... even given it's most excellent quality.
