The following line in a MAT pose file P5SR3/4 does not work... Anyone know a work around? A MAT pose file with this line does not delete the texture map from Material setup... textureMap NO_MAP Thanks a bunch...

Where are you using your MAT pose? MAT poses in Poser 5 work best when use while you are in the Materials room MAT pose can be used in the Pose room until you render. After that a MAT pose might change the preview texture but wont change the texture used when rendering. There are also a bunch of other things that can be wrong with the MAT pose file, such as making the change to the wrong material, missing a bracket somewhere, leaving the figure line out, etc. Chris Cox

Actually, I've had better luck with MAT files being used in the regular window. Material settings in P5 only work in the Material Room. (MAT files are special Pose files.) P5 gets kinda stupid and forgets how to apply MAT files properly. If you look in the free stuff under Poser: Utilities there are a few MAT files specifically for P5 that strip everything out. I'd suggest using those in between applying MAT files for the textures you want to try out/use. Hope that helps, Cres

Opps, I guess I should clarify. When I wrote MAT pose I was refering to Poser 4 style MAT pose files. Poser 5 MAT poses should work equally as well in the Pose or Materials rooms. Chris Cox

Actually an associated question. I'll occasionally create a new mat pose, or apply a material , and the preview is white, rather then have an actual material preview. The object does have the texture applied, and renders fine, but the preivew is not even close to the correct color. Is that something I did incorrectly, or a P5 thing?

Way too many people take way too many things way too seriously.
