I am trying to build a fat man in poser4 a bit along the lines of Boss Hogg from the dukes of hazzard. But my figures mesh seems to break up. Thanks in advance

Try using the magnets instead of the scale dials.

It's really hard (dare I say imposssible)to do this with the scale dials. Because the parts where two body parts meet get scaled as well and that not good. Try what jeff said with the magnets. And use the add elements option to deal with those pesky joint areas. If you never used that option: EXAMPLE: 1.) select the rshin 2.) create a magnet for it 3.) select the magnet then select OBJECT->PROPERTIES from the menu 4.)click on the "Add element to deform" bar 5.) select the rthigh from the list. Now when you rescale the magnet. It will scale both the rshin and the rthigh so that the joints stay nice and smooth. It's a lot of work. There are some fat people in the Free stuff section if you'd like to go that route. do a search for FAT and you'll find them. ScottA

Also, in some areas, such as chest, stomach, etc, you will need to double click the magnet zone and fiddle with the "edit falloff graph" thanger. Now that is not easy at moments. Sometimes the best results are not what you think they will be, so save your work BEFORE you begin fiddling in there. If you click a spot that has no point, it will add a new point. You can drag these up and down. I find for areas like a rounded stomach, etc, things that you want a smooth roundness to, more of a straight line works best, instead of the smooth curve that is the default. Play with it all.

The above applies to the clothes you put on the fat person. Once you've morfed the clothes, then select the body part of the clothes being morfed and select object/spawn morph target and save the morf on the clothes. And it helps to save the clothes you modify in the character library for more fat people. Using more than one magnet at a time creates some exaggerated and unpredictable results.
