Here are some screenshots from the new P3dO 3D viewer. Because I want to release 1.7 asap I have to stop further developpements at current stage (a major version is scheduled for the end of the year and time is running so fast). What 1.7 will have: - Ability to load PZ3, CR2, PP2, HR2 and OBJ - Load Material colors - Load Morphs What 1.7 won't have: - Read compressed or ZIP files (1.8 June) - Load textures (1.8 June) - Pose figures (2.0 November) I have problems on W98 but XP and W2K are running Ok. To check this a 1.7 beta will be available to all users soon, it won't be a stable finished 1.7 but good enough for current use. Paying 1.7 will be available by the end of the month. Free 1.7 will be available in June (when 1.8 will be released). The free P3dO will have less features than paying one (3D viewing is free). Yarp

btw I forgot to say 1.7 won't have vertex smoothing, 1.8 too. It took a very long time doing the release, and I also have to prepare the online store. Quite boring compare to P3dO.

Hurray for yarp! Any idea at this time what the price will be for the full version release when it is available? I have always said that P3dO was the greatest free utility out, and will gladly purchase the retail version

ShadowWind ( ) posted Sat, 13 March 2004 at 6:39 PM

Thanks so much for your programming and generosity and the ability to look at pz3 directly without loading each into Poser will be a godsend...Kudos...

yarp ( ) posted Sun, 14 March 2004 at 1:33 AM

Mondoxjake, the price will be 25$ tax free (that is 25$ if you live outside europe and about 30 $/Euros for europeeans). With 1.7 the paying stuff is just 3D viewing and also Rsr2Png and Pattern Renamer improvements, it will be released for free in June and meanwhile I will add the real specific stuff : ability to read 3D and pictures through ZIP files, ability to modify some Poser files datas,... and much more (the list is quite long). Those who would like to be sent the alpha (link) just have to drop me a mail: yarp@senosoft.com, the more try the alpha the more bugs we can track. Yarp btw MadYuri my friend, I'll send you the alpha of course ;)

Any chance that it will have recursive .rsr to .png (meaning you can do the entire libraries directory) all at once then just one folder at a time?

Yep, this time it will be in the version. Paying till 1.8 and maybe also after, I've no idea - depending on what I will add later.
