Been working in Bryce for a while now. Never can seem to get the sense of realism posted on these pages. This is my latest. I hope it conveys a sense of mood (i.e. the title), if anything else. Any suggestions or comments on this or any other of my works would be **VERY MUCH** appreciated.

Thanks,
markostimpy....

I like the concept, however, i think the sky is too busy, and it distracts from the focus of your image. good wine glass, i like the rock...but the flower... The flower is a really good model, but the textures need a little bit of bump...maybe put a bump height of 2 with the Blue Bump texture, and scale the texture up to around 2000...just to give it that little sense of...not being fake. Looks like a good start.

Well, I would change the rock to a smoother (rock)object (far too much straight lines here) and add a (mossy) phototexture to it. You have to change the flat textures on the rose to something more "organic" (with more shade variations); that would be enough for a start...:-)

I agree that the sky is too busy. Also, your color scheme doesn't work for me. The musty red of the sky, the green of the glass, the ice-blue and white of the rock or iceberg. If the glass was more clear than green and the rock was more grey/brown.... One other thing: the darkness of your sky and the amount of light shining on the rock don't jive. I'm looking forward to seeing how it evolves. 8o)
