I dont know except odie never speaks and is just a dog maybe?

The trailer looks like a mix of 3D animation and 2d "paper-doll" animation. Looks a lot like that deliberately cheap animation in the Quizno's Sub Sandwich ads! Wonder if it's the same artists?

" The trailer looks like a mix of 3D animation and 2d "paper-doll" animation. Looks a lot like that deliberately cheap animation in the Quizno's Sub Sandwich ads! Wonder if it's the same artists?" I think you are referring to the intro to the trailer, and not the actual trailer itself, which seems to be high quality 3D animation (probably done in Maya or some such app) and integrated into live action sequences (ala Scooby-Doo). I don't like the fact that they didn't animate Odie in 3D as well though. Thats a load of crap, since Odie was more popular than Garfield among the junior high girls I went to school with. He was "cuter", so they said.

Is that Jon with a woman?

Those quiznos things were awful. I wonder how much business they lost due to that.

Don't like it, Garfield is cartoon, not 3d :P ! Down with evil 3D !! ;)

sandoppe ( ) posted Sun, 21 March 2004 at 4:44 PM

Well.....I love it!:) I didn't think the intro was very good, but the trailer was fun! Of course....I'm a cat fan.....and a huge Garfield fan.....and I have a cat that's built like Garfield and has his purrrsonality:) So naturally I'm going to like it. Thanks for sharing it Stormrage! :) I think the deal here is that "It's About Me" (Garfield)as opposed to the other characters in the cartoon. You can't tell from the synopsis if the dog in the trailer is even called Odie.

Garfield was done in Poser? So that's why this post is in the Poser Forum. Does this place even have a "Off Topic Forum" for talking about movies?
