I'm basically finished with the modelling (Wings3D used). It's a very simple model, based on the star wars speeder - the exported 3DS is about 32K. I'll add this to my downloads on my site when I'm done with the textures. I would appreciate C&C before I start on the texture details. thanks

Very nice, Bazze, you're getting expert with Wings.

This is not my "second childhood". I'm not finished with the first one yet.

Looks pretty good to me. I could never understand why they needed the grappling cables in normal use. The only use seems to be to take down AT-AT's. Kinda handy that. OK, I'm shutting up now.

Looks great Bazze! What app(or apps) are you using to map and texture your models?

Innovator ( ) posted Sat, 20 March 2004 at 1:19 AM

whats the poly count? almost looks like it could be a game model. And thats a nice texture on there so far? Is it normal mapped? I didnt even know you could do that in wings great start

thanks for all your comments. I'm finished with it - click on the link to the galleyr for the final result and a download link.

Innovator: About 3000 polys (its bigger now, about 170k). Parametric mapped.
