Wow Misha, you're really getting very good with using that wide-angle lens. Subject distortion is almost un-noticeable. Great exposure too. And do my eyes deceive me or is that 3 babes in one shot in the lower right? Ahhhhh ... yes, you have begun tapping into the force and are using it well. I am so proud of you. Brings a little tear to my eye. manly hug Thank you. :)
[You are an inspiration, Donald.] Wide-angles are really fun for street/faire type shooting. Years ago (with a 28mm) I was never pleased with the results; everything tiny and far away. Since, I've learned to get close to the main subject. This perspective (now with a 20mm) nicely shows people along with their environment. The fair-ie subjects often get puzzled when this big lens gets shoved in their faces; two to three foot distance. But fortunately fairies just take it as a complement.
Oh Misha admit it.... you strapped a baby to your chest and strung a puppy on a leash.... they were all over you once they caught the sight of you! :~)) Smootch!
I am, therefore I create.......

@Michelle ... OTOH, if they are lusty wenches, they don't need any props to get started on you ... and the rose sellers are entirely another category. I recall the time I was with a lady who was interested in a boothie (salesperson). That guy was wearing a doublet from Noblesse Oblige, black velvet hose and a brass codpiece. I instructed a rose seller to deliver a rose, handed her a small tip, and offered to give an additional tip if she made him blush when she delivered the rose. She earned the extra tip, but I had the impression that, just for fun, she would have made him blush anyway. MGD

Yes, a Renaissance Faire is fun ... but only when it is open. OTOH the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA) has activities all through the year. This site uses cookies to deliver the best experience.
