Takes about a second now to import a Poser (pz3) figure into a Carrara 3.0.3 scene. No more OBJ or 3DS formats to mess with. I waited HOW LONG for this? :)

Can you resave it in Carrara or 3ds or obj format with all the materials ?

I was able to save the imported pz3 figure as 3ds or obj with jpg texture maps. And of course, save it as car.

do we have to rebone it for animation or does the rig carry over too?

I don't have Poser 5; does it work with Poser 4?

sniff. And I ordered the first day too. Just emailed them over it.

It imports animation and all. Should be able to open a Poser 4 no problem. So far seems really solid. It's great being able to render Poser scenes in Cararra without jumping through hoops. The only thing I've noticed is that Poser 5 seems to set the bumpmap strength a tad too high, but, that's easily fixed.

One of my figures imported with solid black eyeballs. Must be Dawn of the Dead version.
