Hi, I have poser 5 on my desktop but now want it also on my lap top what will this cost me? I am the only user. I tried to register it on my laptop as well but it would not let me. It said to get a multiple user liscence but is it cheaper to just get another poser 5, can I up grade again? Patrick

I would ask CL themselves. Marque

I have P5 on both my desktop and my laptop and like you I am the only user. You'll have to forgive the attitude but as the only user I'll be damned if any software company controls my ability to use something I've paid for and I'm not always home.

I believe it's the SR3 that fixed the way it was originally registered.

I actually asked CL about this pre SR3 (IIRC pre SR2 and I htink it wa sSR" or SR2.1 that fixed the most annoying problems) and they were cool with it being installed on desktop for home use and notebook for when I'm out and about. Could you perhaps tell us what version of Poser 5 you're using - becaus eI suggest that SR4.1 from the CL web site might be a good move. Cheers, Cliff

I'll be damned if any software company controls my ability to use something I've paid for Microsoft will give you a $10 discount if you want to install Windows XP on a desktop and laptop.

Right, that's why they refused to register my copy when I moved it from my notebook to my main system? lol What a pain THAT was. I had to unregister it from the laptop and re-register it to the main computer. Marque

Best solution: get a Mac laptop. No foolishness about multiple copies of operating system or software. Problem solved.

Marque:- Maybe they just like me? After all, I'm always terribly nice to/about both CL and DAZ...

I have Poser 5 pre SR4 and did not have any problems registering my copy of Poser on both my laptop and PC. Then I upgraded to SR4. Hope this helps.
