Subject: Tragedy in the Bryce Community

I'm not sure if this is the proper place to post this, I apologise in advance if it is not, but the Bryce Community has suffered a terrible loss. Deborah C. Bishop, aka DCB, aka Brycetech lost her battle with cancer today. She died somewhere between 6:30and 7:30 this morning. As any Bryce person knows, if you needed a tutorial for anything, you went to Brycetech. Deb had collected the largest collection of Bryce tutorials anywhere on the internet and her dedication to the community will be sorely missed. Goodbye Debbie...

I thought it was very sad news. We see these electronic nicknames at our popular stops on the web, and we tend to forget that there are real, vulnerable, flesh and blood people setting up these sites and doing the work. I guess as the web gets older, we'll be seeing more of this. :-(

Debbie was the first person online I met when starting on the net, way before this or any real forum even existed. We've been "online" friends since then. I had just heard the news of her passing this morning (the 24th) and I nearly broke down. She never said anything and I had no idea. She was a friend, inspiration and a great artist. Deb, you will be truely missed. GeorgeD

Kind of puts everything in perspective, doesn't it? My sympathies go out to her friends and family.
