Happy Easter! Just a little something I whipped up in a few minutes. Such very cool usage of the MAT files on the suit for that lace stuff. Very nice job there. Had fun installing everything! Heh. Watch that .zip above, it doesn't fall into the "Geometries" folder.

I've made some Tabi boots compleate with Suneate leg plates to go with the ninja hood I made. I think I will try to add a flair to the top of the boots to simulate the baggyness of the trousers as they are tucked into the tops of the boots, it's a trick but it might work, failing that will leave them as is.

Of course every ninja needs her little sword :)

SenshiTaurus ( ) posted Fri, 26 March 2004 at 12:32 PM

WOW! I can hardly wait until this ninja get's finished. BTW, I can't seem to load the bunny tail. It always locks up......how much detail did you put into it? If too much, is there any chance of a lower poly version?

compiler ( ) posted Fri, 26 March 2004 at 4:03 PM

It may be the readscript ? Did you put it in the exact path that Marty has made the script point to ?

**LOOK! It's Final Fantasy 8's Selphie as a bunny!**

It's ok now, it's working. I don't know what was wrong with it. The only different thing I did was load the tail first then everything else.

That's how I created this image.

Any chance of a very very very very very long scarf like in Shinobi?

-Yggdrasil- ( ) posted Sat, 27 March 2004 at 3:56 AM

You can use your Ribbon from the Anime Gymnastics package for the scarf. Remember, in Poser you can hide individual body pieces (like the stick). ^_^

Nanoshi ( ) posted Sat, 27 March 2004 at 6:39 AM

Well you can't see it in that picture but the headband has 2 tails to it which go down the back some. Would need some Insomnia loving to make em posable though, I don't have that easypose thing. but if you want really long ones go with what Yggdrasil said.

Nanoshi is going needs about two people working for her, lol. Here are some shoulderstraps that I am making for the jetpack. Just wanted to show Nanoshi that I am doing something. Greats posts everyone! No I didn't make any uvmaps for the eggs or chicks or basket. Just made them for use with solid colors. marty

You know, that picture reminds me of something... ...are the "Eva" plug suits still in the works?

SenshiTaurus ( ) posted Sun, 28 March 2004 at 4:36 AM

Yeah, what happened to them? I'm still really looking forward to them....

compiler ( ) posted Sun, 28 March 2004 at 5:54 AM

I remember Marty had copyright infrigements problems with Renderosity about posting such items, directly derivated from existing anime. Poser Pros, on the other hand, just released a "Lina Inverse" character. May be there are chances up there ?

Riddokun ( ) posted Sun, 28 March 2004 at 7:46 AM

i think occideentals are more rampaging lawsuit/copyright frantic than the creators of the anime themselves ! would it be possible, you would have even better odds/chances of agreement contacting japanese right holders or authors directly ! it is a shame all fanart 3d item are dissed and removed.. there is a tolerance on "DRAWN" fan art of anime characters and designs, but as long as we make 3d ITEMS is is not tolerated as fan art (though it is, only in a 3d way instead of just drawn) meanwhile the copyright holders wouldn't even care of making themselves such suits/items/materials for us to buy; if they are lazy to provide them to us officially, just let them keep their mouth imho !!! but there are always problems.. you know the "na, i dont feel like doing this, but i'll kill you if you do it instead of me !"

Nanoshi ( ) posted Sun, 28 March 2004 at 9:03 AM

It's not about creating art based on anime that they have a problem with, it's the creation of copyrighted material for re-sale that they have problems with. You see if you make a copy of the Sailor Moon suit and sell it you get the proffit and not Bandai, but 99% of the reason your product sells is because it is Sailor Moon. So therefore you are making money from them. It is the same for all copyrighted material. If you keep it free and state clearly who owns the copyright you will be ok. You make money off it, it's another story. Plus also the brand has an image too, if for example you started selling Tellie Tubbies along with strap on dildoes and a 101 swedish pump action sex poses to go with them, you then not only proffit from the brand name but you also destroy it's reputation as a kindergarden childrens TV show. and when the angry parents complain about it they go to the makers of Teletubbies, as they will mostly think it has come from them on some level or another. So there is a good reason we have these laws in place.

Nanoshi : your points are very valid and no one challenges them. Since it is a copyright question, here is a link to a thread in the appropriate forum where I've posted more comments on this.

Riddokun ( ) posted Sun, 28 March 2004 at 10:59 AM

well then i think they should be morally entitled AT LEAST after being responsable for the removal of such an item for sale to PROVIDE an official "alternative" of this item THEMSELVES ! of course someone is making money on the back of bandai (example), for most of your points i agree nanoshi, but would bandai had the courage to make poser items themselvesand sell them ? i mean you do not STEAL a profit they could have made because they are no tinterested in the marginal poser market. of course you make money because of their own fame, but they could not have claim this money themselves, it was just my point in my previous post. whenever i'll saw a will not limited to "sue everyone to death" but more to "make themselves official versions of problem items" towards the fans and potential byuers, then i'll respect a bit more their own point in this matter. else it would just sound to me as absurd as a marketing golden boy who complain he did not manage to make 200% growth sales of fridges in alaska !

insomniaworks ( ) posted Sun, 28 March 2004 at 11:16 AM

Wow, just checked in, busy on the final obj of the jetpack. Don't get carried away with copyrights! The only thing this has incommon with Eva is this jet pack has lights on the front. They are not even shaped like Eva Plugsuit props that are on the front of her suit. Since in total, this is nothing like Evangeline plugsuit, what is all the fuss about? In case you are wondered what happened to the Evangelion project, it was stopped because of copyrights. It still exhist in my mind and in spirit and Inspires and Flavors aspects of my projects as you have pointed out. marty

insomniaworks ( ) posted Sun, 28 March 2004 at 11:19 AM

By, the way, Evangelion was the entire inspiration for the catsuit from the beginning. marty

SenshiTaurus ( ) posted Sun, 28 March 2004 at 2:46 PM

You could ask them yourself, and see if you can 'Distribrute this Evangelion package for insert price here for the many fans out there to enjoy and to love your anime more'. Then you could say 'The reason why I am charging for this prduct, is because it cost me money to get the program I used, so I think it is only fair' or something like that. Now, if only I could contact the people of Totally Spies...anyone know how I can contact them e-mail wise?

Riddokun ( ) posted Sun, 28 March 2004 at 6:02 PM

hmm btw aren't the "totally spies" heroins available at khrys's store ? now you'll laugh, but a friend of mine knows personnaly the woman who worked on the design/drawing of those three heroins (if we are talkin about the three young girls in red, green and yellow catsuits respectively and are "newbie" secret agents or something like that) we are just all nothing but evil damned french people but i am sure it would be possibl to get in touch with the woman who made them, though i guess it is not her who hold the copyright and exploitation rights of the characters, but the editor of the tv serie, so it may not be relevant or useful anyway... will ask around about this ! (i'll buy the package from khrys's store before contacting her, in case all the fuss in RO starts again and they remove the package :)

SenshiTaurus ( ) posted Mon, 29 March 2004 at 1:35 AM

I don't think they are the actual totally spies girls, maybe Krhys just made them look like them (they're only body morphs). Please try to contact her. Any help is good help. When I get back from school, i'll post a image that you can show her. Thankies!

Riddokun ( ) posted Mon, 29 March 2004 at 6:48 AM

yes but you know about the frantic paranoid copyright inquisition out there. even "lookalike" or "derivated" things are within the spotlight, ready to be fired at... it seems that nowadays, "copyright" is the only word in mouths, oh and also any pretext to sue someon's ass, anyone, anywhere... Gee i should try to sue arduino about his wolfgang ! :) (joke)

Just wanted to let you know what I'm still here. This is a force field I created by using the Metaform plug in for Poser5 and Pro Pack. If there is interest in it, I'll make it conformable. May be I'll kick my bottom hard enough to embark on learning some modeling and make a sort of Force Field generator belt apparatus.

SenshiTaurus ( ) posted Mon, 29 March 2004 at 3:21 PM

Will it only be fore poser 5 and pro pack or will it be availiable for poser 4?

Nanoshi ( ) posted Mon, 29 March 2004 at 3:33 PM

file_103343.jpg

Jetpack is well on it's way to being finished now :) Insomnia has put a skeleton in it and made the wings posable and the little jets on the side too :) Incidently the figure sporting the jetpack is my new Assassin character, so expect to see alot of her about, I have already submitted 2 pictures of her to my Gallery in a kind of ongoing Story. I havn't named her yet though, anyone got any ideas?

SenshiTaurus ( ) posted Mon, 29 March 2004 at 3:38 PM

Maybe you could call her Nanesha (guess who's name i've been looking at) or maybe Cruella. silence Maybe Maria.

compiler ( ) posted Mon, 29 March 2004 at 3:44 PM

@Senshi Taurus : so far, the Force Field is already usable with Poser 5 (and Pro Pack, but without the glowing materials), but if there is enough interest, I can make it conformable and thus usable in Poser4 (although the glowing effect will be a little less effective in poser 4 renderer, but can be exported in Vue or Bryce). @Nanoshi : she looks great ! Cold-blooded, efficient and unamused... Professional. I'd call her Black Ice.

Caly ( ) posted Mon, 29 March 2004 at 4:02 PM

The forcefield is such a cool effect! :) It would be great if it worked in Poser 4 as well. That's a sweet looking assassin. The jet pack is cool as well. :)

Feel The Funk Flashlight... flashlight! Ok, that Rhino program is super-easy for me to learn and do stuff with. Albeit this is straight from the tutorial I just went through, I actually was able to understand 90% of it. Even found some stuff out on my own about how the tools work on there. I'm a long ways off from you guys's level, but I'm catching up. ^_^

I was watching *All Purpose Cultural Cat Girl Nuku Nuku* earlier today and remembered something all these anime people are missing. The ear stuff!! Working on it, it's a long way from being done, but I'm learning what all these shape things are in Rhino.

Riddokun ( ) posted Mon, 29 March 2004 at 5:21 PM

ah ah ah yggdrasil nice idea ! whenever i saw your messages, and how much active and motivated you are, all i have to come in mind is a picture of frantic hysterical mayadoll/animedol cheerleaders singing "go go yggdrasil".. need to find some clothes to turn into cheerleader outfit.. i cannto let this pass !

Always remember to save your work often... even when you have 25 saves... =/ Stupid me decided to mess with the options a little and toasted Rhino... Gonna try and remake it again.
