Subject: Windows 2000-SP4 and Vue4

This may be my machine, but I started having a lot of problems with my usually rock solid Vue4 after installing SP4 for Win2K. I have a backup to go back to SP3 and a more stable environment, but I thought I'd mention it for those wanting to upgrade, or have upgraded and are having problems now. VuePro seemed to run about the same.

Yep I had same 'refuse to run' several apps, after going to sp4, including Vue 4.12 and Lightwave 7.5C, actually went back to Sp2 to resolve all issues. Regards..

I too had problems with that and it turned out that I had a very old copy of win 2000 as I got it just after it came out. I got so frustrated that I bought a completely new version with the new service pac as part of it and it has worked great. Even with a completely clean install on a new disk and all the service packs installed the old version won't work.

I just stick with SP3, on the principle that I have a perfectly good system at the moment, and see no reason to potentially screw it up fixing stuff I probably never needed fixing.

I'm on SP4 also. No problem with Vue 4, but with Vue Pro! (latest update: 248693) Regards TJ
