Subject: Transposer and Collision Detection?

I assume that imported Poser animations will respond to other objects in Carrara ie : walking over terrain, in the same way they do with Mover 5 and Susanna? Does this happen through collision detection? Oh, and does Poser 5, Carrara 3 and Transposer rock? Better than Vue 4 Pro and Mover?

I don't work with Mover but do have Vue for comparison. You can use collision detection with the TransPoser imported figure. If you are asking, "Will the imported Poser animation change it's animation cycle when encountering objects in Carrara?", the answer is no. For example, it would be better to have a Poser figure walking down stairs in Poser and then import both the stairs and figure via TransPoser. Importing a simple flat-surface walk cycle figure and then expecting it to walk down stairs you make in Carrara won't happen. However, you can make the stairs in Carrara and import them in Poser as an .obj file, and them import them back with the figure. As for P5, C3 and Transposer, they work great together. Carrara can't produce the same atmospherics that Vue can but it does do better with reflected light, HDRI lighting and depth-of-field than Vue does. How many software packages does a person need to have to get the "perfect" result!? ;) Mark

"How many software packages does a person need to have to get the "perfect" result!? ;)" Yeah, tough decision when purchasing. I just try and think of 'Rustboy' and what that guy did with Infini-D. I'm faced with that difficult purchasing decision. I have P4 and have demoed C3 (why does it have to expire!!!?) and believe that it's a winning combination. I just 'discovered' Vue4 the other day and it caused a rethink. Thanks for your help.
