THE PLACE FOR ALL THINGS BRYCE - GOT A PROBLEM? YOU'VE COME TO THE RIGHT PLACE

It looks like something similar to this concept is possible with Poser. I hear that there is a new plug-in for Carrara which allows you to import a Poser model to a Carrara scene. THEN, if you repose the model in Poser, the figure in the Carrara scene is automatically updated! It would be wonderful if you could do that in Bryce. Even better if the updates still worked even after you had textured the figure in Bryce.

So, your saying that Carrara automatically 'knows' when you repose any specific model in Poser, and then updates itself? I hadn't realized that Eovia was using AI in their software....;]

Here's what Eovia's website says: "The use of TransPoser gives you the power of the Poser engine directly inside Carrara Studio, for seamless integration of your Poser figures. The two products are constantly in contact so that when you modify the pose of your figure in Poser and reopen the file in Carrara Studio, your character is automatically updated! " And yes - this would be way cool in Bryce! Best; Dan

Indeed, would make a good addition for Bryce 6. :)

Yeah, it's not like you move a joint in Poser and Carrara instantly updates, you'd re-save your figure and when you opened carrara it would automatically be re-loading with the pose... could be rather frustrating if you did a mis-save in Poser though.

What version of Carrara will this work with?

catlin_mc ( ) posted Thu, 01 April 2004 at 8:06 AM

Ok I went had a look and thought I'd buy it, but the version of Carrara3 I have came free with Computer Arts magazine so when I entered the required serial number it told me it was invalid. I've sent them an email to see how/if I can buy this without going to the expense of buying Carrera3 from Eovia too. 8( Catlin
