On Saturday September 23, 2000 the board of JJE Graphics (parent organization for the graphic adventure Hat Check Kelly) met for its bi-weekly gathering. One topic that was discussed was recent incidents vis-a-vis Renderosity/EdgeNet and a number of contributing members of the 3d graphics community. The discussion led to the following items being voted on and approved: 1) JJE Graphics will retain its current membership (jje) in Renderosity. 2) This membership is to be SOLELY used to notify Renderosity members of updates to our current offerings (for now just HCK). No other participation in the Renderosity site will be made. This is a corporate stance and individual members of the board may or may not retain their memberships at their discression. 3) At the end of the month when we migrate the site to www.hatcheckkelly.com we will request that Renderosity change our e-mail address to an unique mailbox that we will create. The contents of this mailbox will be deleted at regular intervals unread. In other words, once migration is complete, it is our desire to not receive any mail from Renderosity for any reason. Members of the community who wish to contact us will be able to find us in any of the other conferences. 4) JJE Graphics will no longer purchase any items from the Renderosity e-commerse component. Additionally we will no longer purchase items from ANY site that uses EdgeNet software. If there are items that we need in the future for our development efforts on this or any site that uses EdgeNet products, we will contact the designer seperately through the designer's home site or through e-mail even if, by doing so, it costs more. We will continue to purchace items from the developer community. We do not intend these actions to be a call to boycot, or a fanning of the flames but rather a corporate position taken after much discussion. We request that the members of the community respect our actions. As an end-user organization, we felt that, like many of the community's developers and artists, we were obligated by our organizing principals to take a stand. We also reserve our rights to modify this position as conditions change. Thank you all, jje JJE Graphics Boston, Massachusetts
