but then I found...

Is this a known Bryce 3.1 phenomenum? (Not that it matters too much now I know how to get over it), but if there's a way to cure it I'd be mightily obliged! Cheers, Diolma

BTW - the only thing I changed in the above captures was the zoom level

This is strange, how much RAM? You do seem to be running a lot of things in the background.

Nukeboy ( ) posted Fri, 02 April 2004 at 5:44 PM

Go to FILE--> Document Setup and change the document size to something like 640x320. It looks like the document is covering the options panel. Just a thought.

512 Meg (1/2 gig) RAM. The BG programs are mostly tiny and only taking up a handfull of bytes except when I'm on-line, when ZoneAlarm kicks in. I was off-line at the time. Document size was 1000x750 (my usual - I use 1280x1024 as screen resolution normally) - I've never come across this "feature" before, and I've been playing with Bryce for about 3 years now.. Like I said, I'm not too worried about it, I now know that the options are there, just not being displayed. I'd just like to understand why not. Cheers, Diolma PS - Today is my Birthday!! (well, now, yesterday was) - What a thing to find on that day!

diolma ( ) posted Fri, 02 April 2004 at 6:15 PM

oops - just looked at my 1st post - that should have been "512Mb RAM" (not 512 GHz RAM) - silly me!

Happy B-day despite everything!

vasquez ( ) posted Sat, 03 April 2004 at 1:48 AM

are you using bryce in openGL mode? because it happened the same with me when I used Bryce with openGL. happy B-Day by the way....

diolma ( ) posted Sat, 03 April 2004 at 4:17 AM

OpenGL mode! Of course! The only set-up option that I'd changed in the last day or so, and I didn't think to test for that (insert sharp sound of forehead being slapped). Mind you, I HAD been out celebrating:-)) Cheers, and Thx again vasquez, Diolma

Yeah, now may be a good time to upgrade, with Bryce 5 being $80 and all. Just a thought :D
