Subject: Any Poser/Max users get their hands on THIS yet?

"Gesture Max is a plugin for 3dsMax that reads Poser (.pz3) files directly, and imports the characters into 3dsMax. Unlike other plugins, Gesture Max moves the complete model into Max, including the morph channels, and the user has the option to RIG the figure using native max bones or Character Studio biped, and skin the figure using the skin modifier, or Character Studio Physique. The new 3dsMax/Poser models are then ready to be added to the pipline for animation and rendering directly in 3dsMax."

This seems like the plugin I've been waiting for. Unlike BodyStudio, which only HOSTS the Pz3 file in Max, this plugin actually rigs the figures using Max's native rigging system, instead of using Poser's. I've been manually rigging my Poser figures in Max for a while now using Biped, and it's a laborious task (but does still save me time from actually modeling the figure from scratch). So this could be the answer to my prayers.

Has anyone actually purchased this yet and tried it out? I'm dying to hear some actual user input. I've got my hand on my credit card, but curious if it works well with the Daz models as well as Don and Judy for the $300 price tag.

Digimation's stuff is usually very high quality, and this looks good. I'm very reluctant to spend the money however.

This is a pity - It was in beta until recently, I think I read something about it at scriptspot or something. ~S

correction: beta as in "write Todd and ask for a copy of the limited beta" maybe you can still do that ? Ask if you could check out the beta because you dont want to fork out 300 USD on something you havent tried ? Most companies are pretty forthcoming like that, I dont see digimation being -too- different there. Could always point to this thread as well - that's 4 potential 300 USD sales. (3, if it's P5 only) ~S
