Would like some feedback on this image before I put it in my gallery. Bout a 100 hours of work gone into this, mainly playing with light settings, fog and haze to get the effect I was after. Any suggestions for improvement appreciated.

Cheers
GG

That's pretty awesome...SERIOUSLY 100 hours, or is that an exaggeration? It's a cool image, i think it's pretty good, i'd render it up a little bigger, though, at least twice that size.

I like the perspective. Nice work! Wouldn't mind seeing it a bit larger tho.

Yes, seriously about 100 hours.I'm only a newbie and this image was a huge learning curve for me,in fact it would'nt have happened if not for Agent Smiths Diver scene. Cheers GG

PS.....How do you make them bigger and how does that affect render times,as it is took nearly 6 hours. Cheers GG.

Oh...I understand completely... Take apart my diver scene, and it's just a handful of terrains, a few plants, and the diver. The absolute most time consuming thing was the never-ending tweaking of lights and sky settings to try and get it to look something like water. "Bigger" - Larger dimension renders? (I assume). You go to "File>Document Setup", to change the size of the rendering window in Bryce. Or, you can go to "File>Render To Disk", and tell it how big you want it to render. With that you see no actual rendering, just a percentage bar. AgentSmith

this scene took like 20 mins to render, its not a DEEP SEA render, but its how you adjust terrains, and your environment settings, great render so far though. http://claygraphics.phase2.net/FishinHole.html

Do atleast one thing a day that scares the hell outta ya!!

Online Now!

Great scene! How about backing off from the scene through the cockpit glass slightly and adding some instruments/controls/lights etc?

I tried several camera positions within the cockpit and the one I have settled on is the only one where the window framing did'nt block out most of the scene, instruments and dash lights would have been good but by the time I started thinking that way the file was huge and everything was so sloooooooow that I decided enough was enough. nice pic.. i remember that one form a bit ago. personally, i would bank the camera... and maybe not have it centered so much... also, i would add some dirt and dust and little floaty bits of crap in the water... maybe post it.. in any event, if you did, you could post some motion blur on the ones closest to the glass of the sub the viewer is in and it would give the image some motion. it looks pretty static right now.

I like it as is..... Would probably look better if it were a bit bigger though. It would give you more of a sense of being there. Looking static as it does is ok. If the craft is just sitting there, as it appears the other 2 are, examining the sunken vessel then there would be no appearance of motion. Excellent work Kiwi. smiley.gif
