Working on a dark elf set for Stephanie Petite, a possible product, and I was just wondering if anyone would actually be interested. So far, I've decided on three skin tones, five eye colors, five facial settings and five body settings, and a custom head and body morph to fix various problems with S3's body.

You are doing a beautiful job on her face. Very nice.

Oh, yes, she's very nice.

Neyjour ( ) posted Mon, 05 April 2004 at 9:59 AM

She looks great! I don't have SP yet, but when I do get her I'd be very interested in a Dark Elf package. :)

A darker glossy shine and one that's got a deep blue tint to it.

nice almost looks like the dark elf from everquest. so id be intrested i have been wanting to create some poser replicas of everquest stuff and characters but i am a novice and it seems a bit too diffacult

Grace37 ( ) posted Mon, 05 April 2004 at 12:34 PM

the eyebrows look off though like they are un textured or something

AlleyKatArt ( ) posted Mon, 05 April 2004 at 12:45 PM

They are, currently. I'm not quite finished with them. They look a lot better on the glossy black. What color eyes should I make, though? I currently have red and blue.

You just can't put the words "Poserites" and "happy" in the same sentence - didn't you know that? LaurieA

I'd love a chance at this as a V2 or M2 character. Excellent work.

AlleyKatArt ( ) posted Mon, 05 April 2004 at 3:44 PM

I'll think about it, Cedar. :)

DARK ELVES CAN HAVE RED, WHITE, LAVANDER, EYES AND HAIR (oops sorry bout caps) mabby also diffrent hues of those there eyes (the black and color part) tend to be a bit larger because of there living underground, the wemon are dominant. i have seen one in a picture where the whites of the eyes were black but that was a holy woman

AlleyKatArt ( ) posted Mon, 05 April 2004 at 5:15 PM

All great ideas, Grace, thanks a lot. :) I know her name, thus far, is Aaele, after a character I played on table top and EverQuest.

the blue skin one would make a good alien too

Why shouldn't speech be free? Very little of it is worth anything.

A finished image with the blue skin. I did some moderate postwork to it, but there's no seam correction and I didn't alter her proportions at all. Just added some highlight to the legs that Poser didn't do.

It's a good looking texture, btw. I wish Poser could render black better so I could do a true black-skinned drow, tho. Those even seen (even Daio's gorgeous ones) look like they're made of hard, shiny leather.

Grace37 ( ) posted Mon, 05 April 2004 at 9:09 PM

for one Dark elves are based off of Drow elves the slight things have been changed due to copyright infringement. and most of those i said we in eq anyway 9minus the lavender and black) and what would help you with the black texture is dont make it all black give it some contour and make a speculat map. also i would love to see a specular map for the above texture. almost all the mps types are based on Grey scale besides the color map and next time i want correction ill ask a teacher. thank you.

Yeah, Lhiannan, but most of the time, I use the words interchangably. They're the same concept and general idea. Here's what my 'glossy black' looks like, currently. I can't get it much darker without it going into leathery land. As it is, it looks somewhat metallic, which I personally love. :)

OMFG that is a wonderfull look i LOVE IT! I feel SOOOO teased right now! like a cat just out of reach of that dam catnip mouse!

AlleyKatArt ( ) posted Tue, 06 April 2004 at 8:12 AM

Grace, it /is/ based on a grey-scale map, of sorts, though it's actually more blue than grey. The reason for this is that it allows me to do less work, keeping the price down, and more importantly, saves on space. Rather than having six texture sets of varying shades, it's easier to make one 'average' color and adjust it in Poser.

sign me up :) you gonna do the same for Michael(sp?)? How about the default people? (am I asking too much? ;))

AlleyKatArt ( ) posted Thu, 08 April 2004 at 9:22 AM

I might do an M3 set. I'd really like to, but I seriously doubt it'd sell well. Most M3 stuff doesn't. :(

Grace37 ( ) posted Thu, 08 April 2004 at 5:53 PM

do it as a duo package V3, Me Dark Elf Package the more that you put in the more ppl want and the more you will sell especialy if it is lightly priced and such then people will flock to you but rember that the thumbnail and pictures people see in the market are so important if it looks novice it wount sell if it looks professional it will sell great (just a few observations on my part)
