Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Feb 18 5:11 pm)
Depends how cartoonish you want it to look. Some people do it by a method using alteration of the Z scale so the image flattens which you can find tutorials on probably here and I think at daz. I do it in photoshop using filters. Have you ever tried posterize in photoshop? Love esther
I aim to update it about once a month. Oh, and it's free!
Another way to do it (and the superior meathod in my opinion), if you have Poser 5, is to use toon shaders in the material room. There are some very good ones here in the market place. I forget who made them, but you can use those as a starter shader and make your own customized ones, or use them as-is.
Tools : 3dsmax 2015, Daz Studio 4.6, PoserPro 2012, Blender
v2.74
System: Pentium QuadCore i7, under Win 8, GeForce GTX 780 / 2GB
GPU.

There's some free shaders as well for P5. enryoka1 and I put up some shaders, and possibly a few other people as well. I put up a newer P5 shader in a post recently so you can use textures yet maintain the cel-shaded look but I never quite got around to putting it in the free stuff. (I'm lazy, I know.) It's located at http://www.fallencity.net/treasures/p5/Cres-ToonTex.zip. Hope this helps! CresThis site uses cookies to deliver the best experience. Hi people. I'm a newbie here and I'm just beginning to learn Poser. I was wondering; Many of you make awsome looking cartoon style pictures with Poser - could somebody please tell me how that's done? Putting the document in "cartoon mode" didn't really give me what I wanted... Thanx!
