Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Feb 17 1:30 pm)
Well people say it's because they don't want their children to see it accidentally. But I think the main problem with nudity is a lot of people surf the net at work, and many many workplaces actually track the webpages that people go to. And people have been sacked for looking at what other people consider pornography. That was question 2. Question 1 _ I use Vue pro to render in. It has great lighting. Love esther
I aim to update it about once a month. Oh, and it's free!
Heh and before someone throw a moral fit regarding the "surfing from work" - it is actually ALLOWED lots of places - to surf for instance during your lunch break. It is however generally NOT accepted to surf for porn, and while the stuff on Rosity is far from porn, it MAY be regarded as such if you see the pictures out of context, and without knowing anything about 3D. If in doubt, use the nudity tag. I've put it on pictures I wouldn't personally regard as nude, but since someone DOES, I opt for the "better safe than sorry" Oh and I've also FORGOTTEN that darn tag more times than I like to remember ;o)

You just can't put the words "Poserites" and "happy" in the same sentence - didn't you know that? LaurieA
Using Poser since 2002. Currently at Version 11.1 - Win 10.
Thanks, esther
ABOUT 2: I think its crazy that people consider pornography the renders of this community (about others, like Renderotica, yes, and that is its reason of being). And about the people surfing at work maybe... but the idea that children cant see this... hundreds of children visits everyday spanish museums full plenty of naked bodies, and nobody of them have needed psichiatric treatment
ABOUT 1: Vue pro imports well Poser files?

Vue isn't hard to use. You do need a powerful computer. Mine struggles. But it imports easilly poser files into Vue. Whole PZ3s are easy. Love esther

My kids have seen Vicky naked for a couple of years now and I know that it doesn't bother them, nor does it bother me for them to see it, as long as it's tasteful. However, I know that there are other parents out there who feel, for various reasons, that they'd rather their children not see nudity, so I put the nudity tag on as a matter of respect to them.
I know our company does..and I just pretend the Taliban retired to our Data Security department, and anything that's good enough for them will keep me out of trouble..;) heck, they even parse our posts, which is why I use 'dang' a lot, instead of something more..pungent..;) Todos Nortes son loco, piense?

Bryce might be a good option for you, I believe, you can save the figures as *.obj but not the transparanty maps, so the eyes will be black until you change the material... I like Poser light more and more but I'm one of the addicts that bought a whole new pc for only Poser...... And the second point: you are soooo right. Go to the beach here (Netherlands)and you see boobs everywhere. For art, nudity would be quite normal you should think. What absolutely bothers me is the strange shocked reactions at frontal male nudes. What's wrong with that? Aren't men human too? But I found the solution... I made my own Galleries where "everything" is allowed...
Agree with casette, you can find a lot of art masterpieces showing nudity in museums all over the world. That would mean you wont allow kids to visit museums? Sounds strange to me. Saludos, da gusto encontrar m espales de vez en cuando;)

Hi masters of the 3d universe
I need an answer of your high oracle. I have a PC with AMD Athlon 1800 Mhz processor, 768 Mb RAM, 64 Mb graphic card, 20 Gb HD, W2000 and Poser Pro Pack. My teeth are long to floor to see the fine results of some renderers with outer lights, shadows, reflections and other ambient items. With a machine like the mine, and assumed that it and me have even a (grunt) long long time togheter... what program you recommend me that dont eat my hard disk, is easy of use, and give nice results? (Item: I tested Poser5 months ago, but I uninstalled it cause it made extrange things with my huge libraries collection)
--Surprised question: Im not american, Im spanish (from Spain-Europe, not South America) and I cant understand the fever about "I put the tag-I forgot to put the tag" when you posted a nude pic. I believe that this is a community of artists, not only usual people, and I think that to us nude isnt something abnormal. Well, in my country there is a popular saying: Donde fueres, haz lo que vieres (where you go, do what you see), and ALL my pics with a minimun vision of a partial tit (OOW! ARGH!) have the damned tag, but... really is necessary? I imagine to go today to the Prado Museum of Madrid, and find EACH picture or statue in a single room with the infernal tag: "This image contents nudity" and... oh, sorry, I lost my teeth of the laugh. Light me here too, pleaseee ;)
(sorry for the caveman english if it sounds on this way)
