Wondering if anyone has any suggestions on saving various characters on a back up disc. Made a few different characters and wanting to save them somewhere far away should unforeseen disaster strike. So... Just save the document (with the character in it)... Make copies of the actual files from the 'character' file in the Poser file...? Any thoughts?

heyas; you can save a pz3 or the cr2... the cr2 is a smaller file size. however, if you have a special scene or pose you need the character in, use the pz3. you will also need to save any custom geometries the figure uses. (ie: if you made or downloaded a new creature, not for characters made from the standard ones.) you won't need to save props, those usually get embedded in the cr2/pz3. also remember your textures and stuff. :)

Hello, Edgar, you might want to check out a couple of programs at this site: http://www.wolfiesden.com/ They gather up all the information from your Poser file. Textures, objects, etc. and then they can be moved into a let's say a temporary directory where they can be zipped together or whatever. They work pretty slick. Later, hdrider

I'd suggest zipping up the poser directory. CDRs are good for that.
