Subject: What's available for Dina V?

steerpike ( ) posted Wed, 14 April 2004 at 2:27 PM ยท edited Fri, 07 February 2025 at 8:47 AM

I have Dina V from the current Computer Arts CD-ROM, but there's not much, either on Renderosity or Dacort, for this character. The commercial items look quite good, but I don't want to commit to them just yet.

Are there any other sites which have a selection of Dina freebies?

Renderotica is where Dina calls home, and there is a little bit more there, but not much. Dina, like Natalia, has suffered quite a bit from the Vickie blitzkrieg, which is a shame. Both are excellent meshes, with very nice features (such as Natalia 3's geometry swapping for the feet). There is another iteration of Dina, called Vina D, that has been adjusted to allow her to wear V1-V2 clothing.

There might be some freebies for Dina on that site we can't link to whisperRenderoticawhisper or 3d commune.

The Computer Arts mag says there will be more Poser goodies next month - I will holdfire on buying her any accessories until I have found out what exactly! She is pretty cool but she is a little bit of an odd shape - the blurb said she was not like the fake super-model look of the other poser figures. Bloody hell - have you seen her knockers!

The reason the model was said not to be like "the fake super-model look of the other poser figures" is because she is 3 dimensionally scanned from a real person: Dina Marie Vannoni. There's no point posting her website link here, as it will be removed; the TOS no longer condones linking to age-restricted sites (from this age-restricted site), but if you do a search on her name in this forum, you'll find more info about her.

You can also find more items for Dina [here](http://www.animotions.com), plus I am working on something as well. I have a free character for her available at the link below. She's one of my first, so please forgive me if the file sends out a texture call.

Unless the magazine did something else than what they told us, what's on this disk is what there is from AniMotions and there won't be any more next month from us. The Dina stuff should include Dina, plus dcBasics01Dina.zip (clothes), anezka_DinaPoses.zip and Fyrdrak_DinaPoses1.zip This will give you a good start. Dina comes with a texture, as well as a hi and a lo res version. dacort's basics package is a very versatile clothing pack that includes shoes (be sure to check out all the styles you can make with the morphs) Momcat's right. There is a good amount of free stuff for Dina at AniMotions, plus there are quite a few textures/ characters (which give her totally different looks and body shapes) and clothing (more versatile packs from dacort, plus other items) in the store there for very reasonable prices. And if you haven't been to AniMotions lately, come check us out. We just completely redid the site design and software. I think you'll like it. Thanks, Diane

Oops. I haven't moved my Dina stuff to Animotions free stuff yet. There is a bunch on rotica, though.

Thanks for leting us know, Dthuregrif. The mag did not state WHAT was free next month but a picture of Dina was below. I am really getting attached to her. I posted my first gallery picture with her yesterday. She does pose well. Especially her hips. She has to be the second best cover disk gift ever (sorry, but Cinema 4D still just pips her!). Thanks to all concerned.

hehehe. I got that Cinema 4D disk myself. Very nice image of Dina. I like what you did with Photoshop. Put my stuff over on Animotions. I'll see if I can get some of the other people to post theirs there, too. If not, there's lots on rotica.
