i have the clothes in the "Pose" section... not in the probs section and when i double click on a cloth but it doesnt load :/

FishNose ( ) posted Fri, 16 April 2004 at 6:33 AM

No, there can be no clothes in the pose section. If you find files there, it is most likely MAT (texturing) poses for clothing. Clothing is almost always in your 'character' or 'figures' section. Clothing generally is constructed as a 'figure' so it will have the same body parts as the character it will clothe, and follw the character in movement. So look in your character section for the clothes first :o) And when you load clothes, don't double-click, as that REPLACES the character with the clothing. Use the 'double tick' icon at the bottom to 'Add' the clothing to the character and then 'Conform' it to make it fit. :] Fish

ahh found it but how to fit? this clothes :P

The clothing has to be made for Mayadoll. You can not use P5 conforming clothing on her. MayaX has some nice freebies on his site for the Mayadoll. After you install the clothing, you load up the Mayadoll then load the clothes and conform as usual.

so far here are the most abundant free cloth sources for mayadoll: maya website t-limited rubio cyobit lab (taruru) z3d there are yet a few others spreaded here and there but those i listed are the places where yu'll find most free clothes to start...

A question: Was there ever a Race Queen outfit made during the Race Queen campaign, that fitted MayaDoll? Do you know of one that fits her? Apart from Maya's own one that is. :] Fish

fishnose it was a time limited release, a project/pz3 caled "digital figure". i asked maya abotu that and he said (or it seemed to me) it was a custom in his country or something, a tacit rule between many japan websites about poser. as such he could not redistribute it aside from a given length of time, nor repost it, nor release individually parts of it, i mean it is a whole and licence unnalow anyone to for example distribute either the top, the hair, the chaps and such; all is supposed to stay within a single archive and "figure". he reposted it once due to popular demand but so far i guess now it is gon for good. maybe ask maya if exchange between users are allowed but well don't hope too much. Ihe stated he would not distribute it himself nor allow it to be distributed by peopelon websies, but well, who can prevent you from sharing it with you on a one time basis. let say tyou visit a friend at his place. How will you proove you got it this day or while it was disributed i do not condone or encourage trespassing maya's wish at all, so just ask him exactly what rules apply to rq rie now and how your issue can be solved. i made some backup of i just in case i lost it too. RMP items are in our history at rosity, freebiers can always be found at original websites, but such releases are a problem, i woul say. Mariah too was supposed to be a digital figure (so i guess maya will never distribute part of this package, aka hairs, in any other of his rmp products either) and bonus character cutey honey (free for maya buyers) too was a digital figure thing.

by the way Teppan / T-Limied) made a Mach Go racequeen suit for mayadoll. So officially mayadoll has two race queen outfits, RQ Rie and RQ MachGo anyway with the pose trick (non conforming, no converting) or with the tailor and special v2 to mayadoll mannekin, it may be possible to use most V2 (not v3 maybe) teppan/tlimited suits on her anyway cyobit lab to had a rq suit but i don't remember if it was for mayadoll..

FishNose ( ) posted Sun, 18 April 2004 at 3:27 PM

Riddo, thanks for your reply! Maybe you misunderstood me - Maya's own one, the RQ Rie outfit, I have - I got that the first time it was out. So that's not a problem :o) But 'MachGo'? No, I don't remember that at all.... I must go check it out. By teppan you say? Hmm... Yes! Yes! I found it - I had it all the time, lol!! It's called RQ-MG47, Go-Go Queens. For Maya Doll. So I do have both. Thank you again! :] Fish

i only remembered "machgo" because it was the url/logoname on the top...

Lyrra ( ) posted Sun, 18 April 2004 at 8:18 PM

okay ..for a clueless westerner ..what on earth is a "race queen'? I admit to being deeply baffled :) But the chaps look cute on the Mayadude snicker

Riddokun ( ) posted Mon, 19 April 2004 at 2:52 AM

Okay lyraz lemme explain: In various "race car" events and also car exhibitions and the like, all famous brands of cars in japan use female hostesses to add some appealing view for the visitor. ever saw a video game show like E3 with all the girls ? it is the same but for car users. Usually they do not need to be mostly cute and are not especially choosen among stars, fashion models or the like but what makes a race queen is the uniform ! each car brand or team has its own design/colors associated and so those girls are like living "flags" bearing the logos and colors of the brand/team. Often seen in pair, or more numbers. The uniforms are usually meant to be sexy and colorful... to have a better view of what are Race Queens, go to Teppan/T-Limited website and check the "camera" or whatever section (not the poser one) and even if all the links there are in japanese click on one of them (maybe those with "New" as it will feature newest events he took in picture) and you'll find shots of race queens of various team. look at freebies of Teppan too, he made many famous team uniforms such as banpresto, and such. i know we are not accustomed here to see that but well, watching cars racing in circle for hours can be boring, i think it had some cuteness and color to the whole process :) this, with popidols, are something typically nippon

http://sun.endless.ne.jp/users/johnny/digicame_yukarin002.htm here are a few shots... Teppan had made the one piece version for v2. ps: the umbrella too is typical to the thing :)

Riddokun ( ) posted Mon, 19 April 2004 at 2:58 AM

lyrra: for the chaps, just find a feathered coif and you'll turn the mayadude in the the "indian" YMCA boy :) (damn why are there NO edit function to this board ?)

Lyrra ( ) posted Mon, 19 April 2004 at 9:07 AM

oooh! kind of like American cheerleaders ..but not. Okay then. I was really wondering about that :) Thanks Riddokun there are no edit functions because its easier on the mods if people can't change what they said. We have enough trouble with he-said-she-said without the words themselves changing.

Riddokun ( ) posted Mon, 19 April 2004 at 10:43 AM

well Lyrra, old moderator habit speaking, ney ? but if i remember, phpbb board style HAS an option to show outloud if a post was changed/edited :) anyway, i understand, yet i think that the search engine for this board is kinda hard to use too, because limited, verylimited :p hmm well it is "close" to american cheerleaders, in the way of the "cult" and social custom around this respectively in usa or in japan; but maybe think most to cheerleaders + mascots suited people at once. yet i don't know if cheerleaders in usa got to pose in artbook dedicated to herselves or sign autographs and have fans...

Lyrra ( ) posted Mon, 19 April 2004 at 12:23 PM

well its not a close paralell .. but the general concept of 'pretty female in short skirts as eyecandy at sporting events' is fairly similar :) and no idea about fans of cheerleaders .. I think more out in the midwest states you'd find that.

Riddokun ( ) posted Mon, 19 April 2004 at 1:33 PM

i told about the fan system because in japan, racequeens are maybe nearly as popular as regular music idols for the most famous/known of them... so far i never saw a cheerleader with as much notoriety (at least outside hr own local school/team) anyway, thanx to teppan who makes really accurate and good suits for poser...
