Subject: Dumb Question About Vicky?

I just downloaded Vicky from Zygote but cannot see how you map her head texture separately from her body texture. All I see is "Hair" or "Figure" in the materials, not "head". So her head looks like she has Leprosy (not good). Why doesn't Zygote provide some type of "readme" or other tutorial help about this. I use Poser 4.0.2. Does 4.0.3 fix any of this?

On my system I go to the Render menu and select Materials. In the resulting dialogue box I again select materials and am presented with SkinHead and separate items for all the pieces such as lips, etc. I'm using Poser 4.0.3.126

O.K. I went ahead and loaded the head texture and then that caused the head to render correctly, or so it appears. But I am still not quite sure why. So why did they make the head a completely different map anyway? Is this a dumb question? And finally, why didn't they give her genitals like the P4 girls. Is this some form of sudden modesty after all the other girls have the correct anatomy? Doesn't the Michael model have correct anatomy?

It was done since a lot of people want to change the head texture for mak-up but the body stays the same in many instances. Thought it would be easier and it makes for a much more detailed area for textures. And neither her or the P4 girls have genitals strait off unless you add morphs. There are a number of them at morph world.

The head texture is much more like the 'big face' templates--LOTS more detail. I'm surprised, if you bought the mapped Vicky, that you don't have a mapped rsr in your library. You should, BTW. If so, you just click on her and she's mapped correctly. For your own maps, the easiest way (I think) is to load the head texture and click 'texture changes apply to whole figure'. THEN--UNclick that same thing, select the bodyskin and load the body texture. Do the same for the fingernails, the toenails, the nipples. That's the easiest way. If you are using the transmap for eyelashes, eyebrows, select them and load the appropriate transmap for them.
