Smart props are VERY easy to make :o) You parent something to a character (like you've done with the pins) and then make sure that the parented prop is selected (and not the character or anything else) and then save it to the props palette. Poser then tells you that "this prop has a parent" and asks if you want to save it as a smart prop. Answer yes and there you are, one smartprop :o) I really don't know what has happened to your pins :o( Can you export the lot out of Poser as an obj? (select all the pins in the export option)? And what does it look like then?
