I thinking making headway...maybe... As you can see it now has 5 unicorns instead of just 3. I'm still not sure about unicorn #4 (left to right). Let me know what you think. :)

Mmmmmm - maybe the head up or down a lil ? At moment it looks like he's about to drive horn into back of the neck of 3 ? Also , I'm not sure about the tail. Having no tails visible on first 3, then last 2 makes it look a lil ?unbalanced?. Maybe if the tail of #4 was lower ? The legs flow very nicely

If it were me, I'd swap positions of 4 and 5. Everything else works well together. Is that the milhorse?

Hmm... I'll try that. Nope that's the P4 horse with morphs by me, bloodsong and lyne.

I am not going to be a lot of help cause I don't know to really put what I want to say into words, let alone offer any useful suggestons. Maybe someone else can spot what I am getting and can do a better job expressing it. Basically, the sense of motion that I get when I look at this seems disjointed. I would think I should feel a rush or flow of motion. I picture the unicorn as a graceful creature, so the sense of movement you want to convey should be smooth, harmonious, even almost dreamlike IMHO. I think it is the legs - perhaps the spacing or the posing of the legs that bugs me most. I guess what I am trying to say is if you approached this sort of as a stop frame animation, starting with the rear horse, and animated its movements forward to the first horse, then froze the frame changes in between as examples of the poses needed for the horses in between, you would have at sense of fluid motion from one unicorn to the next. Not exactly what I am suggesting, but close. Best I know how to say it though. Probably just confusing you. Explaining concepts in my head has always been hard for me. I know what I mean, I just do not know how to say it so someone else can follow.

I've changed the #4 unicorn a bit and spread them out a bit more in this one. I think I understand what you are saying Shadownet but I tired doing that earlier and was told the image looked too static and I should mix it up more. Also the legs tended to bunch it was hard to tell which leg went with which unicorn. They are all cantering but one unicorn is on the wrong lead. ;) Remember also this is going to get chopped up into a triptic so I have to be careful where the dividing lines will occur.

Well, the change you made seemed to work as I like this one much better. On my comments - you definitely do not want static and you do not want a sense of confusion. So, that approach is out. What you have here does have a nice sense of flow, so apparantly GreyTower was spot on as to what was needed. I am not good at visualizing things in my head. I need to see it on paper, then I do better. I could not see the difference the change in 4 and 5 would make in my head, but I see it now. This does seem to work. The legs no longer bug me and the movement does not seem disjointed to me.

What's a Triptic? Is it like a Triptych? Are there going to be two more?

Well this is what I ended up with. I may go back and revisit in a month or two and see if I still like it. Poser 4 horse with morphs by me, lyne and bloodsong. My textures.

Daio, I certainly wasn't much help. I don't think I was very observant yesterday. It had been a long day and I clearly was not tracking well. Looking at this thread again with fresh eyes, I see a lot more details in the earlier versions I missed as well as misunderstood. Nevertheless, I believe you pulled it off, this last version looks really fab to me. :O)
