I'm having trouble installing my copy of Ray Dream 5 on MAC os X on a sub hard drive, are there any drivers for that, updates ect? _ _

Must've slipped my mind...but it's the thought that counts...

If I were you I would be off to Carrara 1. I think it is free in magazines. C2 is at low retail price now. I am happy with Carrara 3 on other things except GI

I could be wrong but from what I've heard it won't install on OSX. But maybe someone more familiar may know the details. Brian brian@vizualds.com http://www.vizualds.com

Does Carrera have all the usual deformers that RD has?

Oh yes it does have all of it

Is there like a demo page that dosplays the deformers or features of Carerra in general. How different is V1 from V3?

V1 is more like Ray dream but better intefere, speed and rendering V3 have Global Illumination, Caustic, TransXPoser support, Tree, bone, better vertex modeling.

I doubt RD 5.5 will work in Classic mode, but if you search back in the old posts here, somebody has posted the link to the 5.5 updater (needed for OS 9). You will probably need a dual-boot machine to run it.

Man, would you believe it? MC's site is still storing that 5.5 to 5.5.1 updater file! Since 1999. That's what I call support. ;-) If you don't already have 5.5, then you need to try Eovia.
