Tin Foil....it is excellent for not collecting St.Bernard's Hair....or....instead.....and if You are Financial....Silk....sigh....St.Bernard Dog Hair just does not stick to it......go to an Army Surplus Store and try and get an old Parachute.....Silk.....those damn Fly Boyz....good luck with the woof woofs
Just realized you might mean big people sized backdrops. How about plastic fabrics like polyester? cheaper than silk. I also had a friend with a computer store. He used to mix a teaspoon of his favorite fabric softiner in a water sprayer and fog the carpet around the tech station every morning. Try spraying your cotton backdrop with some. It'll nutralize the static.

I recently bought a large peice of Cotton for a backdrop, but after bringing it home... With my 2 St Bernards... With the summer coming.... Well. Theirs a lot of dog hair, and the cotton seems to attract it all. I've washed it, dried it, and washed it again. Still won't come off. Any ideas on a similiar material, that doesn't collect dog hair as much?
