Bloodsong, Had this offer been made about a year from now, I would volunteer, but, well, you know..... ;) I hope you find someone equally knowledgable, or someone as such steps up to the plate! Who's gonna answer my stupid questions now? Only kidding... everybody's been quite helpful. :) Sorry to hear you never got to ban anyone... I know THAT can be fun... I had to do it once on a very small e-group site I "own"...to a warez freak. I guess you finally made up your mind, eh? Salute! Mike
::checking notes:: okay, here's the current standings for 'most likely to be drafted into vue moderator's job.' daffy: 1 point for actually replying to this thread. kate: 1 point, because i know she ran away and hid because she knew i'd give her a point for replying to this thread... mike: 1 point for replying to this thread, 1 point for saying he WOULD do it if it were a year later.... 1 point for the other thread where he demonstrated his proposed talent for answering questions by deftly delegating responsibility... and another point where he definitely says again he really WANTS to be drafted... and a point for tesign's nomination.... for a whalloping total of 5 points!! tesign: 1 point for nominating mike, cuz it wouldn't be fair to pick on mike for that without also picking on bill, too. ....well, looks like you're in the lead, mike! wohoo! unless, of course, i ban you first, just so i get to ban somebody during my tenure (thanks for sympathizing ;) ) ::now watches everybody run away, kicking up clouds of dust all the way to the vue horizon::
Hi again! Another hellaciously busy day for me, but now it's over, thank God! Sorry I didn't write anything this morning, but I got up way too late and just had time to bolt out the door. Sounds like I'm being kidnapped. That's OK, just don't expect much ransom money. ;) Wow,I'm TIRED right now....usually I can come up with some quick quip, but it's hard to be funny when you're staring down the barrell of Bill's "overloaded" Smith & Wesson. Believe it or not, I've actually been thinking about this all day. :) Well, not ALL day, of course, but, you know, and it occurred to me that these forums are somwewhat self sufficient, and the moderator is only one of many members, but with the unique ability to , uhh, well...err., umm, MODERATE, I guess. The moderator is not obligated to make sure he/she answers all questions, but I most likely would try to find an answer to that which I don't already know, in order to be able to try to help, or at least to be able to do my fair share. :) I honestly couldn't possibly envision a scenario which could have the potential for learning better than having to seek out information in order to answer a question of someone's. But, I know that the "moderator" status is more than just that, but I really don't know all that would be required. As I said, I'm really busy, but not so busy that I couldn't spend at least two or so hours a day here, reading messages, writing replies, and doing whatever it is that moderators do otherwise. Shrug But first, I have a couple of demands: Bill, please put the safety on on that handgun, and for God's sake, please stop shaking! You could also feel free to point it at the wall, or something else! Second: I want to know what "d'Esprit" means! Does it have something to do with motion? I know a very little German; French is a mystery! Otherwise, I guess I say, I would be (oficially) interested in being considered. :) I've already stated my limitations, but that doesn't seem to matter so much. No matter what happpens, I would prefer to see that this forum is left in good, responsible, and most importantly, FRIENDLY hands! Well, I guess I'm saying, count me in, but only if you think I can hack it...ooops, poor choice of colloquiallisms...if I can HANDLE it, that is! :) Cheers, Mike PS I also posted this in the other thread, mostly so Bill (tesign) doesn't think I failed to reply to his quite funny "threat" of sorts. :P So, I have 5 points, but I also might be the first banned? Talk about irony! LOL So, I accept your nomination, and if elected, I promise lower taxes for all!* Well, I worked 14 hours today, and my "old lady" is asleep on the couch, so before I get too tired, I think I'm gonna go now, and squeak in a couple of hours of good quality Vue Time! After I see what else was said here today, that is... :) goodnight all. *offer to lower taxes will not be honored... I can't do anything about it!

heyas; the vue forum will soon have a new moderator! who will it be? could be YOU! yes, volunteer now for this exciting and career-advancing position with the renderosity vue forum. enjoy fame and fortune... or just fame, actually. and once appointed, you can suffer through one of kate's hazing parties! (hmm, maybe i shouldn't mention that part...! ;) ) if we have more than one volunteer, we can hold elections! won't that be fun? yes, folks, all the baby-kissing and mud-slinging you could possibly stand! how about some kickbacks and bribes for votes? :) that's right, so the more the merrier, everybody volunteer! if NOBODY volunteers... i'll PICK somebody! ::looks around, ominously threatening:: avoid this terrible fate, volunteer today! :) seriously, though, i'm turning in my moderator hat, and we need a new vueophile to step up. trust me, this job is a breeze; just show up every day and answer messages like you normally do. :) and check the vue gallery for unsavory images. and boot/ban pirates and warez hackers and other exciting things. (yah, sure, i never got to ban any unsavory pics or people. oh well. :) ) btw, i'm not LEAVING, per se. i'll still be around, but maybe not as often.
