See that Drac found his missing folder and what he has as his desktop pic, I though it might be fun to see what others have on their desktop. Here's mine. Taken from www.yesworld.com.

gillbrookes! he's a hunk..LOL... changes as frequently as my moods! Times, can be images me working on..or .. images and photos that appeal to me, or even scans of Calvin and Hobbes or Snoopy, or the guy I have a crush on! ;) Me in a dreamy mood..homesick for the place I left my heart in..so the past few days..it's been Dominica. Inspires me a helluva lot..and what with the weather in India being a furnace, it's cooling to think of the beach. And yeah..it is black sand..it's a volcanic island.

Having this little lady popping up always startles me awake in the morning. It`s a wolf spider from Arizona. (No unfortunately I haven`t been, the spider came in the mail, courtesy of an arachnological pal) and it`s still one of my favourite pics. And it`s got my name at the bottom in case I forget that. :O) The few program icons I have are on the quick launch bar on auto hide.

A custom reworked lemonjim image. I wanted to add a 3d figure to it in such a way that it would blend seamlessly into his 2d posted image, shadows and all as appropriate (no-postwork). It worked out wonderfully.

Pass no temptation lightly by, for one never knows when it may pass again!

Mine is black and boring comapred to these. I don't have a picture and just have my computer, network, my documents and a recycle bin and occasionally the picture I'm doing postwork to. I won't bother posting a picture, I don't want to put you all to sleep.

I'm at work right now, this is the family baby, her name is Kyla. And yes, my desk top always looks this bad. My desktop at home is still standard windows, been having so much trouble figuring out whats wrong with the pc, that I haven't bothered to put up a desk top image. LOL, reformatting the harddrive always seems to get rid of any wallpapers I put up.

Mine also changes all the time. Right now I am loving Springtime. I was really into making themes for a while and this one I did last spring. The center is from a greeting card and the rest is mine. I also made a screensaver to match.

Yea, looks like Miden's got all the goodies. No fair :-(

miden1138 ( ) posted Mon, 26 April 2004 at 11:20 PM

@ Pakled and Doug, Don't get too excited. Most of the stuff that I have is either freeware, learning editions, or demos that don't time out. Or in the case of 3DS Max, a demo that has timed out that I simply haven't found the time to delete from the HD. I still have 23 saves left on my demo copy of Rhino 3, and I'm hoarding those until I get a lot more practice! Learning editions are great, they let you use the really expensive software for nothing. You can get 3DS Max (G-Max), Maya (Maya PLE), and even Softimage (Softimage XSI Experience). Someone else has one too, I just can't for the life of me remember who. Just check out their websites and you too can (sorta') use the software of the big boys.

Strangely enough, I still haven't gotten sick of the old John Carter challenge I did a while back. I think it's still in the Bryce challenge archives somewhere - although no one else voted for it there's something I personally like about it. Before that, I rotated Dave Mann posters and for a few days I even used a photo of T'Pol from "Enterprise" (Jolene Blalock) that I got from startrek.com. BTW: UPN may be getting rid of that series. Last I heard they were letting people vote whether to take it off or not . . . I'm afraid to go look at the results as I think that I am in the minority when I say the show should continue . . . A spooky thought a collouge(sp?) of all my most favorite Bryce artists might be in order; I might run into copyright issues though if it ever got off ol' Hal 2 (that's my computer's name - I'm so glad I'm not Dave.) - TJ
