My computer has been unstable since I patched it, and through either wishful thinking or stupidity, (in assuming the prog I installed knew what it was doing with my partitions) I lost my extended partion with all my games, poser and storage partitions in it. Arse! Then I had to decide what was more important, pictures of the wife, and chat logs, or poser. So I reformated the area poser used to sit, to get my "storage" area back, ah well... I'm going to rebuild, but there will be no poser partion in the new regime. I may re-install 4 at some point, but having seen the beta of Daz-Studio, if I have a future with poser at all it'll lie in that direction I figure. If you've not already, you really should check it out, it's very slick. it'll import your poser folder (and make browsing the figures and poser libraries so much easier) and render on a dime. It at least has promise. I may be about from time to time, but I think my time here is coming to an end, real life beckons :) Adios jb

They did a review of D|S recently in Computer Art..the gist seemed to be that they got a lot of it right, and fixed a few things that Poser had trouble with, but that the program had a couple of things that could be done differently or better (standard app-type review, in other words..;) Have to Play with it.
Note- to anyone downloading it from daz..all those 'goodies' (the dragons, etc) on the download page..will only work for another few weeks, then disable themselves..saves you about 105 megabytes of downloading..just a fyi..

If you hadn't reformatted the lost partition you might have been able to get your stuff back, tuneup utilities has an undelete function that can get almost anything back after it's been deleted.
