There's one hell of a mess to clean up in the voting thread... mashed potatoes and jello everywhere.... The challenge for May will be No Postwork. Do your best to attain the best image you can within your camera. That means once you get the image out of your camera: 1. No cropping in PS (compose your image carefully in camera) 2. No Filters in PS 3. No Levels adjustments in PS 4. No cloning or cleaning up of dust spots or removal of extraneous distractions. 5. Resizing is allowed, no humongous images please! 6. Sharpening is allowed however, to fix the softening that naturally occurs from scanning and resizing. Challenge guidelines can be found at the link provided...

Thinks the "No Postwork" challenge is gonna rock!!!

As a film-biased photographer, I just wonder what tolerance there is for such things as the differences between frame proportions on film and printing paper. I reckon the key is whether or not you controlled the process. 35mm negative to standard print from an automatic system such as the typical D&P line isn't postwork. Hand enlargement, with that room to adjust the exact framing, is postwork. Safest to stick to the 6x4 printe, which will scan to plenty of pixels, and matches the negative proportions.
