Petition To Vector Capital.... has Vector Capital Responded? I was just wondering, the survey has been up a long time. I own a copy of bryce 5 and vue pro and I also sighned the petition : ) Even if they answered: "we are not sure yet" would be acceptable, and would give "brycers" hope for the future. Its a cool program if they dont wan`t it someone ouythere would like it. Sincerly, Kim

I was the one who started it and I have been following the signatures. Come to think of it, if I remember right, the poll expires in September of 2005. I'm still waiting around for signatures (get a decent 2000), and there have also been some other things arising: There's a Bryce 6 under development. Right now it's at the 'look what interface we've photoshop'ed' stage, and from the lack of updates, it would seem to either stay there or move ahead really slowly. Personally I don't think anyone is going to properly revive it. The past few years have had ups and downs in terms of what might happen, but nothing concrete for a piece of software that would have to be seriously redesigned in order to compete with Vue. That much said, there's no telling how it's going to evolve. Will 2000 signatures change it? The moment I get them or ballpark close I'll send the email to Vector pleading with them. Will it change anything? Highly doubtful. This is going to start another argument about how a lot of people will keep using it no matter what and so on. Personally I think it's a bit on the S&M side of things, but at the same time I'm still using it so I guess I'm enjoying the pain as much as everyone else :) So the short answer is: No, Vector hasn't responded because I haven't wrote them yet. But even if I will, don't expect much. Not even a 'we're not sure yet.' Mihnea

Mihnea, Thank you for taking the time to answer me, sounds interesting, your right about ketch-up, however they could fill a nitch till they ketch up or offer different feachers to complament the other programs and join the "play nice together club" vue/poser carrera/poser and so on, it`s great to see these co. working together realizing that the artist likes menny tools : ) Thanks for all your efforts! : )
