Subject: How to create my own Morphing-T-Shirt Texture

oliveramberg ( ) posted Sat, 08 May 2004 at 2:34 AM ยท edited Sun, 08 October 2023 at 9:55 PM

Hi! I know this is probably a rather silly question but I am under time pressure. I created a character for an avatar of our company. Now I want to add the morphing-t-shirt (victoria) including our logo on the shirt. Can I only "paint over" an excisting texture? What's the easiest way. Thank you for helping! Cheers Oliver

That's pretty much yer best bet. I use the tshirtV3 it has the most room for pics AND the seams are on the sides so you don't have to f*** around getting the two halves to line up. Here's a Cradle of Filth shirt I made. The Ever Viscious Skidlicious

Do you paint over the jpg-file?

if that's how you wanna put it, then yes. I usually open the base file with Photoshop make a new layer and use the base as a guide for the new texture ans then I save the layer as a new jpeg. The Ever Viscious Skidlicious

Take your template. (It can be a template, or a seam guide, or an existing texture that you are simply using as a reference for what goes where). Save it under a new name so you don't accidentally save over the template! I use PhotoShop, but any program with layers ought to be similar. Size the image proportionally if you want it bigger. Open a new layer. I put the seam guide or template (grid lines) on top at a reduced opacity. Then I paint on the spiffy new lower layer at full strength, following the guidelines. I can click the "eye" off to hide the guide when I need an uncluttered view. When I get the texture the way I want it, I hide the guide and "save for web" at 100% to keep as much detail as possible. This yields a nice .jpg. I then go into Poser, loan the new .jpg in the materials window, and test it. Carolly
