Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Nov 26 1:43 pm)
There are a couple of ways to go about it ... but for one of the ways you'll need a plugin that will import the Poser animation into Max. (You didn't say which version, so I'm assuming it's 6?) Anyway, Body Studio by Reiss Studios will import Poser files, but I'm not sure if it's compatible yet with Max 6 (it wouldn't hurt to ask). If you're using Poser Pro Pack there is an upgrade price. The other alternative is to import only the character and textures, and do your rigging and animating in Max. Though the work to rig a character might be tedious, I would think that you can do it once in the default pose and save it as a master file that you can use for later projects. That is my 2 cents, for what it's worth. 8-)

Is it at all possible to render poser animation in say 3DSMax? I just finished a grueling 52 hr training session and I got my Educational Copy so I got to thinking. The Ever Suspicious Skidlicious
